    This guy must be the most over rated guy via boxing forumns.

    Hes 30 almost...and his best wins are against hand picked guys who were past their best.

    His power is over rated against fresh opposition.

    Can you imagine this guy even being a TOP 10 super middle in the golden Era of Benn, Eubank Collins, Jones, Toney????

    I think his existance only demonstrates how weak a division the Supermiddle has been for the past decade.

    I ask fans these questions????

    is he HOF potential------NO.

    Will he face top class opposition in the next 2 years .....very unlikely.


    Palle wanted to move him into a world title shot fighting comedians.....and then cash in on the fickle public.


    For me he is a a great con trick. Amazing that he is classed Calzaghes best win.....


    Can you imagine Jones or Hopkins saying that someone of Kesslers class was their best win.....wouldnt be accepted.

    I disagree with some but I agree on most. He is really overrated.

    :rofl:lol::rofl:lol: Kinda harsh but true..He seriously needs to fight a live named world class fighter instead of these damn mando's... He does seem to be get overrated by the Calzaghe fans.

    There was a poll asking for who would win between Dawson and Kessler, and the majority of posters picked Kessler. It really mind boggling.

    I would also say if Froch beats Taylor he surpasses anything Kessler has done at Super middle.

    Credit to Froch , he comes across as an idiot but he is genuine in his intention.

    The guy seems to have integrity.


    Fighting under the WBC title will put him inline for big fights.

    If he went the WBO route (WARREN BOXING ORGANISATION) he could have easily made easy money and racked up meaningless defences and had a statistically excellent record ala Calzaghe.

    I just feel bad for the guy.

    He's still probably the best super middleweight in the world, but his promoters don't have a ****ing clue, and he doesn't seem interested in getting a grip on the situation.

    Dawson has now beaten Adamek, Johnson, Tarver, Griffin...a few others...

    How can Joe calzaghe say that Dawson hasnt earnt it. Calzaghe took 10 years to fight that calibre of opposition.

    he needs to unify the division first before people demand him to move up in weight. as of now, there is no real fighter out there that would make big fight. taylor is still untested at 168 while bute still needs more fights

    Bute can fight a cab driver in Montreal and it's a big fight.

    Do Bute - Kessler in AC and the Canadians would drive down in a heartbeat.

    I think you're a bit harsh on him. He's already beat 2 of the current top 5 at SMW in Mundine and Andrade and Bute has said he's not ready to fight him yet.

    Maybe the division is just now but he's head and shoulders above most of the top 10 in it.

    he's not getting fights because people are not trying to fight him.

    there arent to many Calzaghe around to beat Kessler, you get what im saying?

    Beaten Johnson :verysad Most agree that was a draw or a victory to Johnson

    Tarver is old and don't rate him that highly even at his peak, and Adamek is a solid cruiserweight champ who was lucky to escape with 2 split decision wins over Paul Briggs of Australia.

    Dawsons resume isn't that great.

    lots of these kessler threads lately. he seems to have all the tools but lord has he underachieved. well hell have no choice but to fight a live fighter when the winner of taylor/froch starts barkin'. i personally want to see him fight taylor.
