They are more interested to see them beat up our American fighters based on the comments I see on this board.
Who cares about those cowards? I want to know what's up with the real second hottest act in Russian light heavyweight boxing (after Kovalev) - my dude Maksim Sesrgeyevich "The Kill" Vlasov, approaching one full year of inactivity!
Vlasov was supposed to face Salamov on the Beterbiev card on October 23rd ( not happening ). Vlasov vs Salamov will happen sometime later, not on the Beterbiev card in December however.
Both Beterbiev and Bivol have expressed interest in facing each other. There was a plan for them to fight in the Summer in Russia, but it didn't come to fruition. Hopefully they will face off in 2021.
Any 175 undefeated boxer who wants to catch a glimpse of capitalism while its still around, will do everything possible to get the future Canelo payday. Entering into unwritten mutual ducking agreements is part of the game.
Because much of the luster has been lost, because secretly, even though none of them want to admit it, the Bivol fanboys know he stands no chance in hell of beating Beterbiev, so it's basically a foregone conclusion. I mean, Gvozdyk would probably beat Bivol, and hits a lot harder, and Beterbiev was able to soak up what he dished out and break him down, he wouldn't even have to worry about the power with Bivol. He would be violently steamrolled.
Simply put Beterbiev is with TR and Bivol with MR. Why else does every decent fight struggle to be made.
Both of them aren't exactly draw either. It's difficult to make a fight, a unification fight, when fighters aren't a draw.
Even tho i like bivol and i favor him to win . im sure his handlers are taking their time with him and are not in a rush.
