This is ****ing pathetic, this whole thread. Wasted of time and topic. Its always Yanks vs Brits online in forums these days. I couldnt give a **** what a human being's nationality is or their opinions, as long as they're a decent person who respects others and their opinions. This is an unhealthy thread for these forums, enough of the Yank vs brits vs Europe bull****, lets talk boxing. Every nation is guilty of overhyping boxing stars to an extent. Even if us brits do and more jokes are made about them than others **** it, who cares, let people waste their time joking about fighters which have more support and appreciation than others. Its just a form of jealousy. The same goes for us brits taking the **** out of up and coming overhyped boxers from other nations. Its a low form of jealousy imo. These forums here are going downhill fast.

i asked you a question of why america has many many more fighters than britain at present and in history.you haven;t answered that question.as you say, the clock is ticking.now for the subject of relevance.when you have a much bigger pot of fighters to pick from,it makes it that much easier now doesn't it.especially when you compare it to the pot of fighters that we have here in the uk.after all,we are a small island.i cannot give you fighters greater in relevance because of this.maybe i would be able to if we had a country as big as yours.can i give you fighters with equal historical relevance.maybe not.but i'll do the best i can with such a small pot compared to yours.i'll start with the heavyweights.putting my hand into the pot seems fruitless at first, untill i reach way down to the very bottom and pull out bob fitzsimmons.the first fighter in history at the time to win world title's at three weights.middle, heavy and light-heavy.to become middleweight champ he knocked out jack dempsey,no not that jack dempsey.to become heavyweight champ he knocked out gentleman jim corbett.you know, the guy who beat john l sullivan, the guy who was one of the first to bring skills into the boxing ring and was copied by many, leading us to the kind of boxing skills you see today.to become champ in the light-heavy division he beat george gardner on points.reaching back into the pot i bring you lennox lewis.i won't give you the in's and out's of his career because it was very recent and an expert like yourself would know all about it.now for the lighter weights.you say pep,i say jimmy wilde.benny lynch is also worth a mention.you say sugar ray leonard,i say ted kid lewis or jack kid berg.which leaves us with sugar ray robinson, who i may add is the greatest fighter lb for lb in history in my opinion.no one really comes close.i can't give you a british fighter who is of greater relevance or even equal to the great man.but what i can do is give you a british fighter who was relevant enough to beat robinson and then nearly do it again in the rematch, when robinson behind on points and with a cut over his eye had to go all out in order to regain his title.and go all out he did, knocking his man out in the 10th in a very competitive and exciting fight.that man was randy turpin.didn't do too bad did i,considering the small pot i had to work with.

p.s i'll be waiting for the answer to the question of why america have many many more fighters than britain because you seem to think it has nothing to do with numbers.

p.p.s i'm sorry about the incorrect spelling of the word expertise,i didn't know i was sending a message to mr ****ing spell checker.

Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, then the US declared war on Japan.Afterwards,as another poster so honestly pointed out,Germany-as Japan's ally-declared war on the US.I don't know what is so diffucult to understand. And,I have no idea why you brought up a movie that no one saw and was alleged to have been terrible:lol::lol:.Actually,does anyone even give a ****?Sorry to all the boxing fans out there because this is supposed to be a boxing forum.

It's them against us mentality.Unfortunately U.S > UK in BOXING.They Americans do not take UK boxing serious as much as they doMexico and Eastern Europeans. The Eastern EUROS are respected in America because they are toughest in Europe and they rarely talk it up, if they do, they back it up.

You don't see the perverse hypocrisy of being lectured to about "morals" by a proud citizen of the world's worst colonial oppressor????? :rofl:rofl

You're dumb, Arran, but I didn't think you were that dumb. I stand corrected.

In 2008, the UK owned less than 160 billion in US treasury securities. Now the debt has nearly reached 4 billion?

Ok, let's say that it has. When the T-bills become due, the UK will be paid. That is more than can be said for the 4+ billion you Brits owed the US, and NEVER PAID BACK, from World War I.

Pay it back, with interest and then we'll talk about who owes whom what.

    Dude,

If you want me to read that gibberish mismash, at least make an attempt to use some type of a paragraph format. A little research on the use of punctuation marks and spaces between words might help as well.

What do you expect from a poster that can't even spell their own username correctly?
