Americans dont understand what has not be shoved down their throats by TV. If British fighters were on HBO they would like them but they are not so they don't.

truth is our last government was nothing more than a servant to America following them in every step of the way, tarnishing our reputation in the world and more importantly the Muslim world which led to the 7/7 bombings.

I sincerely hope you are being sarcastic about blaming the volcano for Froch's issues. Froch got beat fair and square. Kessler was the better man that night. And, I'm sorry to say, I don't see Froch lasting against Abraham. I see Froch getting stopped brutally against Abraham.

But Swarmer, that`s exactly what you did with the poster called "Scottish". The thread mentions "English". You change this to "British" and then attack a guy called "Scottish". "English" and "British" are not the same. Scots are not English and most of us don`t even consider ourselves to be "British".

However, its true that the English sometimes have an over confident belief in their sportsmen and teams. Thats mainly because, only a few decades ago, they were a real power in many of the world`s sports. But Americans shouldn`t gloat too much. Their time is coming. Already America`s power is fading and the Chinese and Indian kids are munching protein! And remember, there is only one country in the world which calls the annual championships of one of its parochial sports "The World Series"!

Really? Communist Vietnamese casualties, KIAs that is, during the Vietnam conflict (1954-1975) exceeded 1 million. American casualties were 58,000 and change.

Now let's be very charitable and opine that the South Vietnamese and the Free World forces (South Korea, ANZAC forces) accounted for half of those, or 500,000.

American forces would have been responsible for the other 500,000, good for a nearly 10:1 kill ratio.

They entered WWI only after German U-boats had sunk umpeen of their ships and they really were backed into it and in WWII after Pearl Harbour they had to declared war on Japan,whom they would have fought exclusivley in the Pacific,but Hitler declared war on the US and they were backed into fighting in Europe as well. The didn`t enter either war to help any other nation.
