Americans don't even support their own fighters though, you hate on Floyd Mayweather, the greatest fighter of all time and hope a foreigner like Manny Pacquaio knocks him out.

You should be proud of Money May.

Hoopsman, are you thick? When did you provide aid? You provided no aid during ww2!!!! Aid is a gift, that isnt paid back! Every penny you lent us was paid back (with high interest) and took over 50 years to repay. Americans dont seem to understand the difference between aid and a loan.

Yeah and some of us do, but I dont type like that and I dont complain when somebody attacks a fighter from my 'precious' country.

The reason the US posters find it easy to attack us is simply because we have a limited number of top fighters and we feel the need to defend them. God knows why. Boxing is NOT a team sport thus nationality or whatever is entirely irrelevant.

I dont like PBF becasue he is a wanker, not because he is from the US. I like Manny because he is shows humility, respect and is devastatingly good not because he is from the Philippines.

I can undertand why boxing fans would dislike Haye, and also to some extent Khan, Calzaghe and Froch but its probably mostly because of their often overly vocal fans (and Haye's ducking). Its silly to dislike a fighter just because of their fans

American fighters don't get these problems because U.S fans don't get behind their fighters. Simple as that

To answer the original question . . . because brits tend to over hype your fighters and think you are a boxing "superpower". I am a fan of LL, Haye, Khan, and the prince! I am starting to become a fan now of ricky's now that he has lost to the two best fighters on the planet. Calzaghe is a walking joke and Froch is a sad parity of JC.

The only fighter you like worldwide is David Haye, although you seem to talk about the Klitschkos far more often

David Haye isn't even my favourite fighter, just provides the biggest reaction from the Haye haters and Klit-tards of which there is many on ESB :yep

Floyd Mayweather is my favourite fighter, the undisputed GOAT, only people who don't understand boxing pick Pacquaio to beat him.

every penny that was lent to the uk during ww2 was paid back with interest.

Before the end of the day today, Britain will finally have repaid the last of it its World War II loans to the US and Canada. The UK treasury will pay the last of 50 instalments since 1950 amounting to $83.25 million to the US and $22.7 million to Canada. Upon the final payments, the UK will have paid back a total of $7.5 billion to the US and $2 billion to Canada.

I was talking about fights that took place when my 65 year old friend was still following boxing, 25 years and older. Hatton-Mayweather is a good modern example though. Brits have come a long way and have produced quite a few modern greats.

It just looks that way because English fans are minority in ESB.

You can't take ESB posters seriously because most of them are bunch of idiots. If you don't support their boxers (obviously American), then "you don't know boxing". Now you have to watch the boring and no-power Chad Dawson to be considered knowledgable!

i'd like to know where are those numbers from because as far as i know usa gave many aids during the ww2 before they involved in fights in europe. after the war there was also marshall's European Recovery Program (also aids) but that's another story...
