Why are fans of 'The Sweet Science' (Floyd/Bhop fans) slow to defend the Klitschkos?

    Because *****S are a bunch of ****ing hypocrites. Some of them are even bashing Vlad for being boring instead of defending him and his slick style of boxing :patsch

    Yes he does. He also has a suspect chin which Sanders exposed and Haye nearly did too in the last few rounds. Like Floyd and Bhop, Wlad will go for the KO when a clear opportunity presents itself with little danger of getting countered. He will not outright go for the KO when his opponent is still lively. It just isn't that smart to do so in the heavyweight division when even 1 lucky punch can put you to sleep. Like Floyd and Bhop, Wlad and Vitali fight the smart fight.

    I have often wondered this too. I'm a fan of both Floyd and Wlad, and was curious as to why there weren't more people who were fans of both.

    To the people saying Wlad is "an average boxer who is just big". Are you ****ing serious? Do you understand boxing in the slightest? If you can't tell the difference in boxing skill between someone like Wladimir and any of the other HW's that are just as big as him then you don't know **** about boxing. Excellent footwork, excellent balance, excellent speed, KO power in both hands. Wlad has SKILL, deal with it.

    All the Floyd fans making excuses sound like just that - FLOYD fans. You guys are not fans of the sweet science if you can't appreciate Wlad. Sounds to me like you just enjoy watching fighters with big mouths, bigger egos, and a defensive style who fight in the lower weight divisions.

    It's amazing how both brothers have compiled such a high KO rate but be stereotyped as boring.

    Larry Holmes had a similar style as the Klits. At least he was respected in America, though not overly loved. He was a great champ IMO.

    You should. They are all great boxers and great champs.

    It's a wonder why the Klits gets hated. If you can't appreciate their smart efficient styles that brought them a decade of dominance, can you truly be called a boxing fan?

    They're pure boxers too, they use what they have to hit and not get hit. Especially Vitali, his punches to punches taken ratio is the closest to Mayweather, unbelievable for a heavyweight

    Wlad is a great fighter. He came to fight, can't look perfect when your opponent fought like Haye did.

    There are many different styles in boxing, some may seem more exciting to watch than the others, but they say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".:good
    I think we should thank the Klitschkos for keeping the bar high, if it wasn't for them, shitbags like Haye would rule the sport today. Do you imagine David Haye as the undisputed heavyweight champ? :patsch The dude would had got the undisputed title for 2 different divisions and there would be brits calling him a top 10 ATG. :-(
    The Klits are very good at what they do, it's not their fault that there's no real competition for them. Perhaps in a better era (60's, 70's) they would had gotten better while facing some really tough guys, it's a shame that we won't be able to see the full potential of Dr. Ironfist & Dr. Steelhammer :verysad
