It is called a gameplan. Not every trainer is a good strategist. He didn't have the right strategy for fighting a action fighter on the road. He was young and stayed with his gameplan. If his gameplan were to be agressive then froch wouldn't have lasted the fight. He and his camp are learning and improving. He will be agressive from here on out because very few can deal with that speed and pop being agressive. He is one of the few who can be offensive and defensive at the same time. Tough for anyone to beat when he is agressive.
that is complete shite. Abraham was catching up to him whilst he gassed out when he fought at home, going head-to-head with Froch would have seen him do similar and maybe even with worse consequences.
Bro I agree with everything you say. Ive seen Dirrel's others fights and know fully well when the dude wants to be a beast he's close to unstoppable. But I'm more entitled to my opinion to clearly think he has some sissy in him as well. I dont mean to offend anyone on this matter. It's just how I feel man.
If u guys thought this froch fight was bad u should look for the curtis stevens fight ... probably one of the worst fights I've seen ... he makes stupid mistakes like backs up with his arms way too high or way too low .. falls when people lean on him ect... but the guys is talented .. he can do a lot of things in that ring ... if your the type that leans towards brawlers/'walk u down' type fighters you'll hate dirrell .. he's a bit inconsistent ... but he hasn't peaked yet so we have to wait and see ... in my eyes he really hasn't lost a fight yet ... but froch got the win on his record so I have no choice but to say he's 19-1
you mean just make a lengthier tirade of yelling "*****", "*****", or "******"?? im not stopping you, if you wanna make yourself look even more ridiculous then what you are right now then be my guest.
Ward is more skillful than Dirrell. He's a more versatile and dependable fighter. Dirrell is probably the most tallented fighter though.
I never said ***** or ******. I said *****. And if you watched the Froch & Abraham (aftermath) then you can't help but come to that conclusion. Now all of a sudden he doesn't want to fight Ward in Oakland. :think Hmm what is one to think!?!
Basically, I don't think Dirrell has the versatility or the mental strength that Ward has. He has the intangibles like speed and reflexes but whereas Ward always looks like he'll find a way to win, Dirrell just doesn't fill me with that sort of confidence.
i love dirrell now....hes won me over actually.....and i was actually at mohegan when he fought curtis stevens and i still like him!!!!....but hes really won me over in his last two and i agree with the poster Lastletter26...he simply had the wrong gameplan on the road against froch....but to me he outclassed him and was robbed(i still view him as unbeaten) its funny that ward and dirrell were both looked at as too green and big dogs before this tournament and now theyve basically looked like the two best guys in it pretty easily
That's the thing that most impressed me about him. After watching the Froch fight you see the speed you see skills and the defence and I wondered just how good he is and that is what sold me on it. The way he was able to hit Abe a few times while Abe was flurrying. As you said, it's very hard to land while the opponent's flurrying and especialy so against such a hard puncher. Takes a lot of composure. Granted, at least one of those times he hit him with the side of the hand, but still...
yeah stay on it then ya *****. That is my only opinion on Andre Dirrell based soley on what i have seen. If you dont like it go and suck ur dads dick
Please. Abraham maybe landed 6 shots in rounds 10 and 11. He wasn't putting nothing on them either. They were arm punches and he was still worried about being countered by something unseen up until the DQ. Look at those rounds. AA wasn't putting nothing on his shots even when he was pressing. Froch couldn't touch dirrell even when dirrell became agressive with him in the Championship rounds.
