Why are little g's fans desperate to see him against two of Mayweather's leftovers?

Why aren't they? Gatti is better than Williams or Margo?

What's fake about the record? If he unifies all of the belts I can't see how that is fake.

You are comparing Baldomir to GGG? Come up with a better comparison.

Floyd's young body was naturally maturing, so he was not moving up for a challenge or to please fans. He was doing that to fight at his natural weight which eneded up to be 147. Gennady started later when his body was already mature. He could have been killing himself and fighting at 154, but he chose to fight at his natural weight of 160. A move up would be artificial for him. All fighters who moved up outside of their natural weight were eventually badly beaten. I doubt that Gennady can be beaten at 168 now, but top LHWs will likely hurt him. That is exactly what his haters want.

Look at Margo's or Williams Career and look at Gatti's and you'll get your answer.

Also I was comparing career accomplishment, not who's better if all it took to be considered an ATG is unifying then Baldomir would be one.

How is GGGs record a flex 1st off the only MW Champ right now who's actually beaten a Champ for their title is Cotto.

Unifying by winning vacant Titles and beating vacant Champs is not legendary, finally this defense record if its at 15 I think 9/10 are defenses of a vacent title not a real world championship.

How do you break a record when over half aren't even real title fight's.

Nobody claims Robert Guerrero is a 4/5 division Champ for winning intriem Titles at 135/47, yet over half of GGGs record is an interim title.

It's about who you beat and the accolades you gain, I doubt GGG wins all the titles but if he does without beating a single or just one A or even B quality fighter will not mean a thing.

Think about it like this how much credit does Mayweather get for beating a guy like Berto, very little well Berto is better than everyone on GGGs resume and most guys at MW so what does that tell you.

    That's not true at all.

I've followed his entire career since he turned pro, so I say this with complete confidence that he left the 135 and 140 lb divisions earlier than he probably should have. He did not leave either of those classes because he couldn't make the weight anymore.

He couldn't get Freitas or casamayor to fight him so he moved up to face gatti. You can say whatever drivel you want, but the truth of the matter is he could've easily campaigned at 135 or 140 for longer. Right before he let 135 he made mention that he was trying for years to secure a mega bout with Freitas or casamayor but after two years of waiting he said he was "moving up and fixing to get bigger fights for himself."

You're talking about a guy who walks around 150 lbs. most guys that weight that much don't campaign at 147, they shave down weight to fight at either LW OR JWW. do you have any idea how many JWW fighters come in on fight night higher than what floyd walks around at? Most of them.

He's a small welterweight that could easily make junior welterweight. This is a guy that rarely ever went on diets, in fact he went the antithetical route and used to splurge on fast food leading up to fights and who was constantly under the WW limit at weigh ins throughout his WW reign.

I don't need you to respond back to me, I've read enough of your posts to understand the mindset I'm dealing with. I don't have time to debate with someone who has a rudimentary understanding of the sport. By your logic, you think every young fighter will go up 5 weight classes as their bodies fill out. Such ridiculous drivel.

All the above plus he feels and rightly so that he has all the perceived advantages. Height, weight, reach, power and just as good or better skills. GGG is a business man as well as a fighter and you can't down him for taking advantage of a birds nest on the ground.

FWIW, Canelo weighs more and has a longer reach than GGG. He is an inch and a half shorter though.

GGG fans want to see Golovkin fight the winner of Cotto/Canelo because the winner of that fight is the lineal middleweight champion.
In order for Gennady to become the universally recognized MW champion of the world he has to get and then win that fight. It doesn't matter what weight Cotto has fought most of his career, the fact is that he won the real title from ***y Sergio, who beat Pavlik, who beat Taylor, ect. ect.

If Sergio had blown out his knee while making an optional defense against Charlie Zelenoff then that is the guy GGG (and his fans) would be chasing. It is, IMO, very important to be the real champion of a division by winning it in the ring against the legit champion.

Yeah, Canelo has a half inch reach on GGG but for sheer fighting weight, GGG has the advantage. GGG's body is honed to fight at 168 or 170. Canelo fights at whatever he rehydrates to. If Canelo was confident in his weight being on even terms I don't think that he would demand a catch weight clause from GGG.

Are you playing dumb or just pretending. Golovkin was ready to jump to 168 to fight both Froch and Chavez Jr.
