Why are no upcoming boxers utilizing the shoulder roll? It's such a tremendously effective technique

    Christ.

You see all the stars coming up and none of them are using it. It's unreal. It's not too hard to learn tbh, but oh so effective

I think in the long scope of things, we'll see more boxers using it, Floyd has had a real impact on very young fighters, I see many of em using it.

That will be many years from now, but it's become so obsolete nowadays.

Not only was he not boring, he was absolutely one of the best fighters to watch (Entertainment wise) when he turns it up. You must have not seen Maidana 1, Corrales, Hatton, Cotto, etc.

His fight against ATG Henry Brussels was my favourite all out attack, action packed Floyd fight.

Because it's an extremely hard move to successfully utilize. It takes a combination
of skillset, reflexes and speed and the majority of goofballs that have tried to
    use it have failed miserably.

Most fighters are so basic skill wise, they have no business even trying it
    in a real fight.

I heard Floyd is also teaching them that cheating through the use of drugs is also as good a tactic as the shoulder roll. Worked for him.

That generation of trainers are almost gone? I remember listening to Manny Steward a year before he passed at the IBHOF...man he pissed off a lot of trainers.
He talked about how today's cornermen are more yes men- than anything.
Father trainers really ticked off a few who were there.
How the fundamentals have given way to spending more time on what ring song they want.

My take for fighters who don't preface an inside game, would be all the more difficult to learn.
