I wouldn't say what Hearn is doin is good for British boxing. He's turned it into a monopoly.

Britain didn't invent boxing, Lord Lonsdale created the rules. Boxing has been around since man had fists.

Boxing is somewhat unique in that it's not just enough to be really good, you need to have charisma and personality and often fight in a certain way to become famous with casuals, like Messi doesn't ooze charisma but in football it doesn't matter, but in boxing you need to ideally have an aggresive style with power, have charisma or be a good talker to become famous. Case and point Calzaghe is better then Hatton but because of his crowd pleasing style and charisma Hatton was a way way bigger name. That's why i don't think Froch will ever really be a superstar like say Hatton or Haye because he hasn't the charisma and as much personality as a plank of wood

hearn is doing a good job, if brook and bellew become world champs theyll be big names

surpised barker isnt a bigger name seeing as thiugh hes a middleweight world champ after a great display, been through some toughtimes, etc, hearn needs to do a better job with him

if he starts putting on shows in manny , quigg will become the big name he should be

bruns is a big name in scotland but virtually unknown in england its odd, dont get it seeing as though hes a 2 weight worldchamp and one of our best fighters of the last few years
