Why are Pac fans so quick to forget about the Morales loss?

Yea he was cut by a headbutt but you also forgot that he was moving up in weight and outsized.

    and anyways,

Pacquiao haters use Morales being shot as an excuse for his losses instead of being beat by a better man.

    Its a double-standard

Excuses for all or for none. At the end of the day Pac is 2-1 against Morales and his wins were much more dominant.

People do not know that PAc has been down several times in fights, whether flash or legit knockdowns and that he has gotten up. The mark of a true champion is getting up.

I couldn't have said it better myself. All fighters are judged, and PAc did gain revenge. If you get a response going the other way, you are speaking to a bandwagon fan... EM was past it, but never looked shot until the 3rd PAc fight. People say the Raheem fight, but EM still went 10 rounds with Pac.

Probably Pac haters will say whatever..... but you are not the appropriate poster on this board to talk about double standards..... leave that to somebody else.

the point is that excuses go both ways. If you're gonna brush off one fighter's reasons for losing as excuses, then you should do the same for the other.

He always knew how to get behind his shots. Since the start.

His whole body was punching, and his fists punching through you.

It's either a 400 foot homerun if it connects, or if he misses, he gets out of balance and strikes out.

He also had offensive intensity, gameness, love for fighting and ability to finish/killer's instinct.

Those were his main weapons as a young kid.

He wasnt a boxer. He was a fighter. He didnt seriously think about winning one round at a time, accumulate points and won rounds to win the fight.

He was in there to hurt his opponent, and knock them out or make them give up.

That's the root of all the JMM controversy, i think.

JMM is a true boxer. Thoughtful and cerebral, and serious in wanting to win rounds and accumulate points.

While deep down, MP just wants to beat you. It doesnt matter if you've won all the rounds 10-9 and outpointed him with clear, classic, textbook punches, as long as MP knows that his punches have slowly broken you down and you are a few rounds away from crumbling, that's alright.

What he improved on was stamina, balance and better head movement/defense.

Nobody said he NEVER used to get behind his shots Bul. He was not planting correctly so that if he missed one or two huge shots, he could come back with 3,4 or 5 or more shots which he does now. I also said he got better at thinking also. The rest of what you said is prety much what I said... I still don't think E-Daps head movement has gotten better. To me he just rocks left or right. It's his utilization os his speed and most of all his feints which has gotten superbly better.

    He has more

now, (among other things) which is very important when fighting.

    If you are physically and

prepared 120% for a fight then your chances of winning increase........

No the Morales fight alone is not the only reason why I think Pac is capable of a loss to Mayweather. Marquez after being knocked down 3 times was able to come back and rock Pacquaio and OUTBOXED him for the remainder of that fight. In the rematch, Pacquaio still wasn't able to beat Marquez convincingly. You're comparing 2 different scenarios. When Manny fought Oscar, Oscar hadn't fought at 147 in 7 years! He was obviously weight drained and was a faded shell of his former self. Look what Forbes made him look like.

I don't even care if you give your fighter most of the credit, but at least give the other guy some credit lol...as to why your fighter lost. I watch Pac-Morales, Leonard-Heanrs, Pryor-Arguello, Cal-Lacy, and Floyd-Hatton every other day because I have them all on one tape, and I have a DVD recorder lol...

His head movement today has improved compared to the younger version of MP.

He's no Pernell Whitaker, but it's a lot better now.

His head was wide open like a hung pinata back in the day.

Pac still has flaws as he leans in at times to push off his opponents when they get close, and runs/backs straight back. But all fighters have flaws. I'll take that flaw anytime lol...
