I'm not a Pac hugger by any means but he is much a much improved fighter since that fight.

Can he beat Floyd, absolutely, will he, I'm not sure about that yet but it is hard to doubt the guy.

well, the thing with pacquiao is that he doesn't dwell on his losses. He picks himself up by his bootstraps goes back to the drawing board and gets better. Unlike Cotto, Pavlik, Hatton, and Darchinyan..

I mean look at Pavlik...the guy is a human sponge on the bar floor in Ohio everyday soakin up beer. He's fallen hard sine being taken out by B-Hop.

Cotto...did he take out his frustrations against Jennings? It went 5 rounds before he woke up and said, "I will not let Margarito get in my head".

Darchinyan...did he ever want to avenge his loss to Nonito? No, he deferred that decision to Gary Shaw.

Hatton?....the guy is taking a well extended break after losing. He's the guy that's taken his losses and has put it in perspective.

You can make a case for it in the 3rd fight. But in the second, Pacman just took his heart.

we don't agree that Morales got old overnight. fight II was pretty even up until the 6th round. LOL @ ring wars. Stop it already.

Watch the replay. Morales was taking Pac to school in the earlier rounds.

Yeah and if he wins he's not shot and all Pac fans should remember the loss. :nut

First two fights I wouldn't say Morales is shot, third fight sure but not the first two. Pacquiao is also the only man to stop Morales and beat him the way he did. Pacquiao's body shots broke Morales down. Pacquiao showed a lot of improvements in the rematch that's why he won. He didn't win because Morales is "shot". If he got old overnight he would have been KO'd early, specifically the second round.

Exactly and nearly dropped Pacquiao in the first round with a clean shot.

Thats true, Pac came back and won the second fight ( I rank this is as Pac's best performance) where he showed what he could do against a against a still competetive erik morales but you could see in that fight that morales was starting to show his wear and tear down the stretch. By the 3rd fight, he was totally shot.

i agree for sure that the second fight was a fair and legitimate win. while the first fight was erik's last great performance, the second fight still showed a very capable, skilled and determined morales. ****, i would still call him a great fighter. the third fight was a wash though

Nonsense, Morales slowly started to break down as the fight went. I don't know if you think Pacquiao was in there giving him kisses and hugs, Pacquiao's body punches which he didn't commit to in the first fight are what broke Morales down. The gloves played a major role too as proven in the 2nd round after Pac landed his first clean punch.

Why are Floyd fans so quick to forget that although three suits at ringside didn't think so, Floyd was outfought by Jose Luis Castillo?

Probably because Floyd beat him more convincingly next time out, and thus proved he was the better fighter.

Exact same logic with Pac-Morales. :good
