Everyone is criticizing Oscar only and praising Pacquiao. But isn't Pacquiao responsible for this foolishness also? Why is DLH getting all the blame? They are both doing this for the same reason and it is money. This fight is not for the fans, only for money.

    Because he's the underdog.

You normally don't criticize the guy whose likely to get destroyed.

Yep,pretty much. He's getting the bigger beating for the lesser money. Not to mention going up 2 divisions to fight a guy who will be a MW on fight night.
Oscar deserves the flak here. His life and welfare isnt nearly as at risk as Manny's.

I called some guy who cut me off on the NJ Turnpike today an *******.

That doesn't mean the guy has the right to get out of his car and bash me in the head with a tire iron.

Jesus it looks like Manny is Oscar's adopted son from some third world country.

ODLH vs Angelina Jolie's adopted kids. It's coming folks, you know it is.

If Pacquaio decided to stay at 135, avoid the entire divsion, and instead fought Israel Vasquez at 135 in which they both made a ton, and say Vasquez had just moved up to 126 and knocked off one of the lesser champions there, would you get mad at Vasquez? No. In that case you would get mad at Pac.

It is Oscar that is avoiding the more organic and interesting challenges of Williams and Margarito and taking a lesser risk. Not Pac. Oscar vs Margarito would be a huge PPV as well, the only reason he is fighting Pac is because its much much much less risky and its still a big payday.

So, as a biz move, assuming he wins its respectable, but as a fight fan you should be mad at DLH 96% and Pacman about 4%. Pac is taking a much much riskier challenge than anything at 135.

DLH is assassinating two more organically interesting matches by making the safest one possible for himself. Margo vs DLH and Pac vs 135 (probably Soto first up).

Don't get me wrong, Pac vs DLH is interesting, but if they expected happens and DLH runs him over, we then have DLH who is on his way out, and Pac who may not be the same.

It would be more interesting to see Margo / DLH and Pac try to run the table at 135....but he would be going for Hatton anyways at this point.

The hunger for money often combined with the fear of risk often kills the most intriguing match ups. In this case though its much more DLH's fault than Pacman's.

It's sad to think that at just 16 years old Ivan Calderon is on the downslide of his career.
