Why are people giving Canelo a pass for his failed PED test?

Come on now. Canelo’s a growing boy who needs three, five pound servings of tainted meat a day to make papa De la Hoya proud. Was an honest mistake he made, multiple times is all
    /heavy sarcasm.

All kidding aside, The bribed judging pisses me off more than the PEDs personally. Which is worse to everyone here?

Ya Fury is another cheating POS that should be banned. What idiot athlete takes nandrolone of all synthetics? Idiot. Fury is definitely worse than Canelo. So **** him too.

Then it’s for the best. Despite how much it bothers us you are correct. Casual fans spend money on bad boxing, eating up the hype that’s pushed on them by promoters and they feed into the drama only used to sell crap fights to idiots.

This money however allows boxing to live on and bring an amazing amount of magic into our lives. Remember how you felt when you first saw Ward Vs. Gatti, or “The War” Hagler Vs. Hearns?

Casuals keep boxing around which allow great fights to occur. They pay for garbage and feel entitled to come on the boards and spout their nonsense. Personally I’d rather only pay for the best fights, so I’m glad they are around.

I think of it like homeless people. I want them to have houses (I want good fights) but I don’t want to build them myself ( I’m not paying to see Canelo Vs. Quigley)

Shows just how long the corruption has been going on. Everyone knows its going on. The only people that could do something about it are the State Commission, but theyre not going to because theyre up to their asses in it themselves. Its all about $$$$$$$$$ First Floyd now Canelo is never going to be allowed to lose a decision in Vegas.TheNSAC have covered both Floyd's & Canelo's asses Floyd's test failures & the IV gate scandal Canelo's Clenbutrol & BOTH getting decisions they did not deserve

My friend In my honest opinion anyone that put out the $$$$ to watch Floyd , Canelo etc just go through the motions knowing that their asses are covered & if they're still standing at the final bell the know they cannot lose. Its ruined the greatest sport in the world

Because he is rich and influential, has a massive backing from a fanatical immense boxing demographic, and is under the care of Mr Utensils De La Hoya.

Because if enough people called him out on it, it would force the organization to do something and in turn, lose their cash cow. That and he has rabid fans and is Mexican.

It's an endemic issue in boxing in general. Doping just isn't taken seriously enough and due to the fractured nature of the sport it's hard to really enforce bans or have any coherent anti-doping message.

You watch athletics and the commentary team will bring up an athletes failed doping tests or missed tests like when Christian Coleman missed 3 tests before the World's. It was't glossed over, it was pointed out even by fellow Americans like Michael Johnson. And whenever an athlete wins who has doped it's mentioned and framed in a negative way, to some degree, or at least not celebrated in the same way a win from a clean athlete would be.

But in Boxing, doesn't matter who you are, Mayweather, Canelo, Fury, Whyte etc. It gets glossed over, rarely mentioned if at all by commentary teams, it's like it never happened.

Because it’s canelo and he is a superstar who is allowed to hand pick his opponents walk out second even though he didn’t hold a title .

As a Canelo fan I don’t see anybody giving him a pass any reason people can find to hate they will.
For me personally though while I feel it’s a bad look I don’t really pay attention to it because the same agency that caught Canelo is the same one who said it was an accident it’s not like Canelo failed the first test he took for the fight, they had been getting tested for about a month already.

before Canelo everybody swore VADA was the best testing yet when they said him failing was an accident he’s still a drug cheat go figure.

The idea that Canelo has been given a pass or that nobody talks about it is obviously hilarious. It's been one of the most talked about topics in the history of this forum. And like acie2g said, before it happened everyone was complaining about how bad USADA is and how legit VADA was and then even after Canelo gets suspended by the NSAC for 6 months for something that other fighters in other states didn't even get suspended for (lmao) all of a sudden we can't trust VADA when they say their findings conclude it was an accident and that NSAC suspending him was giving Canelo some kind of preferential treatment. Not to mention WADA's findings on Mexico having a clenbuterol meat contamination problem and trace amounts of clen no longer being a penalty.
