Because Crawford fought a real superfight against a contemporary and did not wait for a guy like manny to get old to fight him or construct wins like Floyd did.

Everything i liked about early floyd- killer instinct, takes risks, willing to get hit if it meant he could get a finish, willing to take on dangerous fighters in their prime- that's crawford

floyd stopped that after oscar, and oscar was shot

I think crawford ends floyds the same way he ended spence- getting knocked down for the first time, you see literal shock on spences face

Because Floyd is in the check cashing business and he's still living lifestyle flashy and ya'll jelly with two large scoops of bitter lemon ice cream about it to this day and that's some real dubbly bubbly real talk :deal:

And crawford would not fight a prime floyd. Mostly because prime floyd was at 130-135. This just shows how great he was, same for Pac. People keep comparing them to full blown WW instead of people their size.

    To clarify, Floyd is 49-1
    -Connor doesn't count
-He lost to JLC 1st fight, then won rematch

Nevertheless, in terms of why I think crawford can beat Floyd:

Crawford knocked down two big ass dudes with jabs. Mayweather never fought anyone where his jab was matched. TC jab is a hard piston which he can time. You saw how Cotto's jab gave floyd some issues, can you imagine Floyd getting into a jab fest with TC

Always reading this bull ****. So as Manny was getting old, was Floyd getting younger? Floyd is two years older than Pac. The last thing to leave you is your power, the first thing to leave is your reflexes. Everyone raves about Pac’s power and he still had it, proved against Thurman. Mayweather’s reflexes would have been getting closer to diminishing in the time they waited to fight. The truth is, Pac got outboxed for 12 rounds by an old man. Floyd took Manny to school and did it whilst being a shell of himself.

well some styles age better than others. Manny's style is better for aging like Roberto Duran's was than Ray Leonard's for getting older, since Ray relied completely on speed for power and boxing.. And you answered this and confirmed it by saying power is the last thing to leave. And reflexes the first. And Floyd relied on reflexes.

I have no idea what you are saying other than agreeing with me that Pac had more still intact than Floyd. Which means Floyd beat a great version of Pac.

I’ve watched thousands of fights over the years. From the fights in black and white to current day. I can honestly say, Crawford’s performance in his fight against Spence is the best boxing display I’ve ever seen. Simply and utterly faultless.

Some styles are age better than others. Leonard's style was all about speed, and when he lost just a touch his whole quality went down even when he lost a little confidence after Hearns, the Finch fight he got hit a little more than he should have. The fact he outboxed Marvin in 87 was because he handpicked Marvin when Marvin was diminishing also after being 1) inactive pretty much for two years and 2) unmotivated after reaching the acclaim he always wanted and 3) and having two hard fights with Hearns and Mugabi.

I agree with most of this post, but I am not sure who would win h2h. Floyd focused on ducking after around the time he fought ODLH and became a huge A-side draw where a loss could have huge financial implications.

Bud's resume is not all that either but there is no denying his quality. Spence was clearly past his best but I think he beats any version if Spence. If he gets a Canelo fight all questions should be answered.

H2h I don't see Floyd stopping Bud, but Bud is a lethal finisher, while Floyd is a defensive master. A close decision to whoever could adjust and maintain the advantage.

Hatton was a career 140 fighter - by far his best weight. Floyd brought him up to 147 where he was less effectively, as evidenced in his fight with Collazo. Hatton also threw all caution to the wind trying to get to Floyd. At 140 where he had the referee on his side as in the Tszyu fight he would have been a problem for Floyd.
