While Floyd might be greater in an ATG sense, in a fight at WW, no way would I count Bud out

If you look back at your history, you'll see that, yes, PBF fought a lot of top guys, but he also knew who to duck. Casamayor, a prime Pacquaio, a few others. He would certainly have ducked Crawford, so it's not even valid to say who would have won.

Greater? Crawford got nothing on Floyd. Who would win in a fight? Bud could move up to 154 and likely 160. Mayweather at welterweight did not carry the very solid dynamite he had in his natural weights, and had hands problems. Not a fair comparison really.

Floyd repeatedly called out Casamayor and stated his desire to fight him. Casamayor never expressed interest.

Floyd and Pac would have fought in 2010 if Manny didn't refuse Floyd's request for drug testing.

Floyd was more dominant, faced better comp than Terence Crawford, and would get even more hate if he'd stayed on with Arum instead of fighting the PBC welters.

It would be a good fight, but this poll is nothing more than unresolved hate for Floyd. He's retired; it's time to let it go.

Depends on which side you believe- what Floyd and his camp say and what the other side says are 2 different things. Similar argument as to why Bowe never fought Lewis. He said/she said. But a lot more sources were saying that Floyd wasn't being honest about Casamayor/Pac. Anyway he jumped ship from 130 before we could find out about Casamayor. I personally feel like that would have been far and away his toughest test at 130.

What sources are those? Floyd called him out publicly and Joel never responded. No one at 130 wanted anything to do with Floyd after the Corrales fight, and that includes Casamayor/Frietas. Floyd had a short timetable to get them in the ring before outgrowing the weight and decided to leave after getting no response... immediately fighting the best guy at 135.

Joel and Acelino basically waited Floyd out, then fought each other after he left.

I don't think it would've been all that close. Floyd was basically Ray Leonard at 130 and Joel was chinny.

Saw Casamayor and his guys after a few fights talking about it, also Ferdie Pacheco a few times, would have to look at the others. Freitas IMO was garbage, was never worthy of a shot. One thing Pac/Casamayor had in common- very skillful southpaws. IMO Casamayor/PBF would have been his toughest fight.

Did you ever hear his guys talking about it when Floyd was still active st 130?

    Didn't Freitas beat Casamayor, btw?

Time is against Crawford now, he should just go after Boots, Ortiz, Tszyu, Charlo & perhaps Canelo in any order, best chance to ramp up his resume which isn't very solid tbh.
