Why are people reluctant to speak the truth about FLOYD?

Thing is, PBF is already an ATG, already secured his place as an ATG when he was 25.

I thought they already saved a spot for him before he was even born?

It's funny, when you can't muster a logical or rational thought (which is pretty much everytime you post) you resort to slinging childish insults and bringing up subjects that have nothing to do with the topic at hand like an immature teenager. Grow up.

Which wins in particular would you say put him in the ATG category?

Thing is, Floyd said he was the greatest fighter of all time and publically disrespected SRL, saying that he would have whupped him.

Imagine if Floyd was in prison talking all that ****. You think he would be allowed to get away with it?

Of course not. They would force him to man up.

Fact is, Floyd retired when his star was shining the brightest and at a time when he was bragging that he was the greatest fighter of all time, and without fighting the top welters.

On top of that, he has a 30 minute documented video of just ducking Margarito. What other fighter in history can you think of that has that long of a video?

****, the more I think about it, the less it makes Floyd look like a smart businessman, (with the exception of fighting Baldomir of course which in hindsight was a smart move from a risk/reward perspective), and the more Floyd looks like he just doesn't want to fight.

Luckily for Floyd though, he isn't in a prison system, and the US is a country that is all about disrespecting people, and bragging, usually without any consequences, so contemporary members of society are very quick to make appologies for him.

Personally, as a man, I don't get it. I mean, B-HOP is probably my favorite fighter, and while I wouldn't word it like this to his face, to me it looked like he pulled a ***** move against Calzaghe. My point being is, while I'm a fan, I can still be objective.

Hatton, Chico, DLH, Gatti and Baldomir...

none of which are TRULY impressive.

But it's his resume that gets him to the high extent of the ATG rankings

Castillo and Chico are his highlight fights prior to 140 and 147...

Chavez and Hernandez are NOT something to be noteworthy of...simply victories that go overlooked because of the fact that both fighters are pretty unknown (because they havent done anything spectacular)

PBF may very well be the best and most skilled pure boxer of his own generation. However, his claims of being the best ever are simply ludicrous, and his zero means damn-didley-****. If Floyd had fought in the 70's and 80's, considering the divisions he competed in, over the years he would have had to contend with Arguello at 130, Duran at 135, Pryor at 140, and Benitez, Leonard, and Hearns at 147. There is no way in hell he would come through that unscathed.

So there are real questions about his actual status as an ATG. Could Floyd have put in 15 hard rounds with Arguello X 2 at 130? I say X 2 because I am certain one fight would not settle things between these two at 130. Next up, Duran at 135, and PBF is gettin' a beatin' in this one. After brutal fights with Arguello and Duran, could he move up and beat a prime Pryor? No way would he have enough left at this point to take on SRL and Hearns.

Floyd is an all time great, and no one should even question that. However, he is also seriously over rated by many of his fans.

    Hatton and Chico not impressive?

    :patsch

DLh.. he was in his 5th weight class.

And Gatti.. Gatti was the best 140lber available to him. Besides Harris who showed us why he doesn't need to fight Floyd the night of Gatti PPV who else was there? No one wnated to fight him at 140.

Based on arguably being the GOAT at 130 and being a terror H2H matchup at that weight that's how?:deal Just like Pryor was at 140.

Kinda like you do in every PBF thread and bash him.

**** all of you haters mad because your favorite fighter today especailly guys like Margo can't even be mentioned in the same breathe as PBF. Face it they will never be as great as PBF and you ****s know it and it makes you sick. **** you all and that fake ass mother****er 5 loss limited Tijuana Windmill Margo. You have the nerve to call someone like PBF fake but Margo can't even go up in class one weight and win a belt.:roflInstead he feasts his limited ass on smaller fighters and gets his ****ing ass kicked when he faces anyone bigger than him like Santos or Williams.

You ****s better pray to God that ***** Margo continues to duck his daddy Williams becasue if he ever fights him again he'll get the beating of a lifetime and you ****s will never hear the end of it from me. The hate and jealously you guys have is pathetic, shitting on a proven talent like PBF. Too bad ****s like you don't matter in his legacy. PBF already got his accolades from the boxing world Ring Fighter of the Year 1998 and 2007 and unlike you bitter ****s they give props when their due and their the only ones that matter anyways. It's not like anyone of you will be voting for him when he makes it into the HOF. So keep up the hate it still won't change history that PBF beat all of your favorite fighters most of them with ease talked **** while doing so, came in the ring with Oscar wearing a sombrero and May 5th 2007 will always be known as Cinco De Mayweather.:yep:deal Did things his way retired on top and never gave you pathetic ****s the chance to see him humbled in the ring and it drives you crazy to make thread after thread bout him as if it's beating him or something when none of your hereos could do it in the ring and I love it.:hi:

You can say all of that but this is what i don't get from his detractors or "haters" you can say that in the 70's and 80's he would've been competive with the all time greats of those times...those were some of the all time greats and they came up in very competive times where the next fighter was considered the man...but because Floyd Mayweather hasn't lost a fight people want him to continue fighting.

So what happens if he beats Margo you'll say he just beat another slow flat footed mexican fighter who had to chase him around the ring all night...with Floyd Mayweather fans its more of common sense...we say nobody can beat him because everyone who is available for him to fight he's already beaten in some form throughout his career and no one and I mean no one has shown anything that says they can beat him.

Clottey/Berto=Mayweather wannabe's ask Clottey how he beat Zab and Berto just doesn't have the foot movement nor is his defense as polished.

Margarito=To slow...takes to much punishment and doesn't hold a candle to a prime Castillo at least he had a defense.

Mosely=Might be able to play chess for about 4 rounds with Floyd after that he can't keep up with the pace of a younger man.

Paul Williams=Not smart enough in the ring for Floyd leaves to many open spots to easy to get to his body. Floyd is not a stupid fighter he'd fustrate Paul by clinching and getting on the inside.

Miguel Cotto=He'd be outsmarted, outboxed, and outworked over 12 rounds and embarassed. All Floyd has to do against Miguel is be Floyd.

None of these cats equal up to any of the legends mention that you said Floyd would lose to so what makes you think he'd lose to these chumps???

I for one understand why he fights for the money and will fight the fighter with the bigger name...cause then we he wins a boring UD or just shuts the opponent down at least they have paid him for wasting his time...

Find another legend to beat him!!!!!

lets be honest he loves the fact his resume is unblemished and as long as margarito and cotto carry on appearing like they could tint that then he aint gonna budge on his retirement

When you can do something like that, you know you're great.
