Why are people saying Broner has no power at 147?

Sure Broner doesn't have KO power anymore but the shots that tagged Paulie and Maidana still stunned/shook them. He even had Maidana backing up until the second knockdown.

I think the biggest problem is his limited boxing ability was finally exposed. He doesn't adapt or work for his win, simply walks his opposition down and counterpunches. Even when he had Maidana backing up, his workrate stayed the exact same and Maidana was still tagging him off of the backfoot.

Broner ate Maidana's shots well, considering he failed to block bombs all night.

I thought Broner would have easily outboxed Maidana but the guy cannot adapt or change his style/pace up at all. I honestly don't see where he goes from here.

He didnt hurt paulie once. He hurt maidana in the 11th, but he wasnt in any trouble, on the other hand maidana had broner rocked, badly hurt multiple times and dropped him twice, that is real power.

Yep, broner has a bit of pop but not Maidana power at 147. there's ever harder or at least as hard hitter at 140 and 147. Broner is f ucked.

Ah true. I guess I should have said that his power isn't what prevents him from being elite at 147, it's his lack of boxing skills.

His power is fine at ww. Its just not plus. It is probably good at jww and, great LW as we know.

Aside from not having the right gameplan, or the skills to implement one, I think it was simply his inability to take the shots off a big puncher at ww that was his undoing.

So, you got Broner who's used to guys giving when they taste his power, against a guy who just won't let up, who happens to be able to hurt him worse than he can handle, and it's not hard to figure out why he lost.
