Yup. Your as good as your last fight. He scares no one. Plus his chin has been compromised. I think khan and malinaggi knock him out.
This, for me I think he should retire maybe have one more fight and call it a day. He's had one hell of a career.
Come on man, how many Flyweight champions do you see become Welterweight champ. He was trying to do what he said he would do, go for the KO, but got caught. It wasn't like he got demolished. That's boxing.
I'm a Khan fan aswell, but Pacquiao knocks him out cold, probably in the first round. The best aggressive fighter Vs someone with bad defence and a glass jaw. Just wouldnt work out at all. Paulie is a bum to me aswell. The guy starts talking **** about Hatton, saying he was always better and wanted the chance to prove it before Hatton retired. Maybe he should have tried when Hatton schooled him...or even when Khan ripped him up?
No. If he chooses to continue he will still be a huge PPV draw and despite all the crying a Mayweather fight would still do record business even after last night. The only concern is if he took irreparable damage to his punch resistance. Assuming he recovers ok he can and will probably fight for another 5 years imo. He needs to pay his entourage.
Lets take a minute here and remember what happened to Roy Jones Jr after he got KO'd brutally. He is done, and who gives a ****. In his prime he was a force to be reckoned with, and decked Marquez 4 times in one round. Lets just remember those days (and oh what days those were for 126lbs). Seeing these old timers go at it 20 lbs north of there primes makes me kind of sick in a way.
Shut the **** up. Pacman was damn near GOAT, no question about it. The dude is old and there is really nothing else he could do to make his legacy better. No shame in saying his career is over, hes done more than anyone I can remember.
Pacquaio isn't going to retire and I don't think he should. Sure, he's lost a step but everyone knew that before this fight. Even a Pac starting to decline is one of the best in boxing. I think Pac would be smart to go ahead and face someone like Rios in his next fight. Pac has lost 2 straight fights( he beat Bradley but officialy he lost) and the most recent by brutal ko. Pac could use a win and Rios's style should make Pac look good and Pac probably gets the ko, something he hasn't done in over 3 years. Beat Rios in the first half of next year and then look to face Bradley or JMM again in the second half of 2013. Pac is going to be 34 in little over a week so he doesn't have many fights left in him but I don't think he's ready to retire yet.
Personally, I'm not saying that Manny is done. That being said, I would assume others are because a blown up LW damn near killed him in the ring last night, JMO.
Only because he faces fighters worth a dam like Marquez and Bradley, loses, now he's gotta retire? Gtfo with that ****! He's younger and in better shape than Jmm, but Pacman simply met a legend that wasn't shot, damaged, or over the hill. He should learn a thing or 2 from Jmm about perseverance.
LOL...he's "old", great point, I'm not even going to sit and list the guys who are older than him and still able to perform at the Elite level. I'm just saying this is stupid as ****. And before you start with the "ring years" and all his "wars", JMM has had more than his share is 5 years older. Shitty excuse...and the motha****er was never "damn near the GOAT".
