Why are people saying that Hatton is overrated...

anything to discredit pbf. they said they would respect him if he beat DLh, they didnt. They said they would respect him if he beat hatton, they didnt.

Pathetic about what? I'll give Mayweather credit, he's a great fighter and future hall of famer. But he has hardly done **** in the welterweight division, and is now thinking about retirement. I thnk his legacy will be somewhat diminished because he didn't clean out the division or at least beat the most dangerous opponent.

 

he didnt do ****? he's the undisputed champion, beat the last undisputed champion, and beat a top 10 pound for pounder by knockout.

i'm not sayin Hatton is overrated because i knew he could never beat PBF anyway at any weight....but Williams is definitely a much bigger task for PBF than Hatton ever was....but PBF doesn't need Williams at this point, and it's up to Williams to beat up Cotto and Cintron to put the pressure on PBF....

You say he's the #1 welterweight, but he defended his belt against a junior welterweight. If I'm correct you're suppose to defend your title against the best guy in your division. I love all the 'I told you so' people on here this evening.

Before this fight people were saying Floyd was not an ATG, that his resume is flawed etc.

Now there are threads like 'finally Floyd's getting the respect he deserves'. A couple of months ago you people were saying Mayweather was overrated & beatable, now you're all making out you knew he was the best boxer of all time the first time you ever saw him.

Yes, Hatton likely loses to the top WW's...but HOW the **** does that make him overrated? If you are going by what he biggest fabns say, then who gives a **** really. Every fighter is overrated when their fanboys talk about them.

Going into the year boxing was under pressure, in the spotlight, supposedly a fading sport ...

This year weve had some great fights, if more fighters showed the kind of balls Ricky did to move up a weight to take on the man most people to be at least consider the current no1 p4p, in his 'home town' or the skills, finesse and general savvy Floyd showed in the fight yesterday, the sport would most likely never have been under scrutiny in the first place.

 

I wouldnt say he is overrated, just doesnt belong to 147
