The undercards were outstanding. Vargas vs Josilito was great. Morales vs Cano was fight of the year caliber. Alvarez vs Gomez was more competitive then I thought it was going to be.

And Mayweather vs Ortiz for 4 rounds were more suspensful and exciting then Manny Pacquiao's last 3 fights.

What exactly were you looking for? One of the best PPV cards I can remember. :good

I am a satisfied customer. :good

I only wish they'd found a way to include either Ouali vs. Jones or Crolla vs. Montiel (or both!) on the PPV so we could see them in Hi-Def and not just on that weak little stream on Golden Boy's website. Those were two little wars! I'd have been cool sacrificing Alvarez vs. Gomez to make space for one of those undercard bouts.

No complaints, though. We saw Money's boy Vargas get dragged into deep water and just barely tread his way to victory in a classic boxer vs. puncher match-up that will be an excellent learning experience for the young man. We saw Erik Morales get unexpectedly pushed to the limit by a kid who decided to not just lay down for him, and rack up an historic achievement (regardless of how legitimate it seems) by showing his vintage aggression and will to win to simply pound the kid into Bolivian. We saw Alvarez get unexpectedly pushed to the limit and drop rounds to another huge underdog in Gomez in front of 10,000 screaming fans before just exploding on him in the 6th (weak stoppage, but it wasn't far off from being over anyway).

Then we saw the World's Best Champion punish an insolent paper chump for three and a half rounds before getting done dirty, and then REALLY punishing him. :happy

...and all that **** is saved on my DVR for repeat viewing pleasure.

    $70 well spent.

I'm glad I didn't pay. The under-card was quality, and would have been worthy stand-alone fights, though I wouldn't have paid for them.

The main event was great while it lasted, but paying so much to see a fight ending in a moment of confusion as opposed to heated competitive rhythm is not my idea of a satisfying finish, regardless of whether it was Floyd's, Ortiz, or Cortez's fault.

I was happy with it. Even though the fight ended like that it gave it some controversy and excitement.

As IB said despite the quality being bad the 'corolo' fight was a great little scrao.

It was cool to see a ginger mexican do the shoulder roll.

Morales fight was entertaining as always and Cano deserves props.

    Vargas fight was a cr@cker

All around pretty decent card people need to quit their bitching about the cheepshot

The alleged "greatest boxer of all time" needed a sucker punch to KO someone. That's not how a sportsman should behave especially when he's regarded as the best boxer in the sport.

Imagine if the Klitchkos or Pacquiao tried pulling that nonsense.

All of us would be outraged.

But because its Floyd, people who hate what he did are just "haters"

I had a fun night, all the undercard fights were pretty damn good and the ending to Mayweather-Ortiz was hilarious.

He didn't "need" it. :patsch He popped Ortiz like that because he was pissed about having a giant ****ing melon rammed into his teeth on purpose.

It's quite obvious that Mayweather would have knocked him out at his leisure in the middle rounds anyway.

It only went down the way it did because of Ortiz's actions (first the dirty ****, and then the excessive hugging attempts to make himself look like a nice guy who had only done it "by accident")

Nobody has any right to complain. That was the most entertaining card I've seen in a long time.

I was disappointed Matthysse had to withdraw, but watching that fight I was glad he did because he would have killed Morales. And we got a damn good fight instead. That Cano kid can fight.

Gomez was beating Alvarez imo. I wouldn't complain about a rematch a few fights down the road.

And the main event was one of the funniest endings I've seen. It was incredibly satisfying seeing Ortiz get smacked in the face for his cowardly hugging.

I thought it was a good card despite the lackluster main event. Brought its own drama though.
