Why are people saying Wilder has a great chin now?

Because Wilder fans are ghetto crack heads? But Golovkin fans are even worse. Which is why fans like you feel the need to compare or bring up GGG in every thread. Even threads that have nothing to do with him.

But Wilder was hit a few half way decent times by a 50 year old gassed out Ortiz and his fans act like he can't be knocked out now.

I'd like Wilder to stop trolling too. He's now saying Ortiz was better than Wlad because he wad undefeated when we all know he wanted absoultely no part of Klitschko when he was active and he was a belt holder.

Now i've see Wilder's heart tested though I give him a much better chance to beat Joshua though. I didn't think he'd be able to weather a storm but he came back fighting. He'll need that against Joshua as with his lack of fundamentals I see him getting decked early.

    Dave Allen.

Ortiz smashed Dave Allen around, hit him flush constantly, Allen was on a couple of weeks notice for that fight and wasn't fit.

Although the referee stopped it, Allen wasn't layed out or sparked..

And Ortiz tested dirty a while after that fight, so I'm assuming he was dirty when he fought Allen so what does that tell you?

Well it tells me Ortiz didn't hit ridiculously hard when he was on the gear and now he is off it he must be different, he can't hit as hard as he did.

So Wilder fans are looking at Ortiz and the hype surrounding him and focusing on that and watching Wilder survive being nearly KO'd and assuming Wilder now has a great chin.

Not a great chin for me, but Wilder did show courage, bravery and a decent chin (not great) and deserves his credit for a W a lot of people didn't believe he'd get.

But let's not get carried away and let's not forget Wilder fans before the fight were saying Ortiz was only powerful on the gear but seem to have forgotten they said that now.

If Wilder can withstand the early onslaught like the first 4 or 5 rounds then I like his chances. He has better stamina than AJ and will be more dangerous the fight goes.

Yeah - we know he carries his power late but I don't think it'll be a factor. Everyone he has fought as champ as had success against him early and Joshua prob will too which will make for a short fight.

Interestingly I think Fury schools Joshua if fit and that Wilder has a much better chance than him at one punching Tyson despite me thinking Joshua will do a number on Deontay. Styles, fights and all that.

I'm beginning to start seeing how this could happen although I still believe AJ beats Wilder.

Wilders technique is awful at times but he does have power and carries that power late, he shown this a few times now so he will be dangerous until the final bell assuming it goes that far.

Joshua is a big man, powerful and hits hard enough to seriously hurt Wilder, but as we have seen before he does have dips in fights, he does have a few rounds off and then goes again, gets a second wind, that's where Wilder can get to him.

If Wilder avoids Joshua's power early and then jumps on Joshua when the pace drops he has a real chance.

I'm still not writing off Parker, these conversations could all be irrelevant in a few weeks.

I agree completely with Fury beating Joshua and I believe Fury makes Wilder look silly if it's the same Fury that fought Wladimir.

What everybody seems to ignore is Furys ring IQ, Fury is technically very good but his brains set him apart from those two in my opinion.

I think he might get totally over confident with how easily he's outboxing Wilder and get caught doing something silly like he was against Cunningham and as we know with Wilder hw can turn a guys lights out very quickly if given an opportunity.

Im not saying he has a good chin now, ive never said he has a good chin, but saying that i never thought it was as bad as most people were making out either. If was really pure china he would of been stopped by now, he has been hit hard enough times.

You ever heard of American scoring? It`s when the guy that`s losing the fight is ahead on the judges scorecards.

He wasnt dropped or knocked down was he though. He has at least an above average chin. Also recall Ortiz is a big puncher and has a very high KO %.

Compare it to say someone like David Price. Had the same punch landed on Price, he would have been unconscious and counted out.

So we can put to bed the myth that Wilder has a terrible chin now.

Not only did he show a chin, he showed great recuperative powers. He took Ortiz’s right hook and then his straight left straight on the chin a few times and didn’t go down. And he was hit with body shots too. And he grabbed...the sign that he didn’t make the same mistake under pressure that’s Tommy Hearns did against Sugar and Hagler.

Given their flaws and their strengths, there's NO way AJ-Wilder can be a bad fight...is there?
