Why are people sleeping on Garcia?

Its not that we are sleeping on him, its just that lucas is a beast. Garcia looks like a beatable fighter, well so does Mathhysee but Danny doesnt have the boxing skills to get that done. He will have no choie but to engage with lucas in the fight and I only see that turning out one way..

 

Most of the doubters are coming from the butthurt Khan stans. Danny is very underrated and he has the tools and the mechanics to put in work on Lucas.

 

this is my first time being active on this site in months, and at first it was a surprise that it seemed garcia was not being backed to have much of a chance, but then I thought about ESB posters and realized that they tend to give the guy with the string of absolute destructions and a considerable amount of mystique and hype associated with him the overwhelming chance of victory...by KO.

 

It's very confusing to be honest. Someone called me a Garcia fan for saying that he is being underrated and actually eeks Matthysse as far as resume is concerned...

HOWEVER, Lucas does look the part more than Garcia and I would give him the edge. However, this is going to be a good fight, and imo, Garcia shouldn't be too much of a underdog, these guys to me are more evenly matched than not. They both have big power, they both have solid chins.. whats not to love about the fight? I guess its what makes fight fans and fighter fans different. Fight fans want to see a good fight, doesn't undermine either side, but looks at things objectively -- and who they give and edge to they do so based on the sweet science - not because they have some identification with a fighter based on superficial reasons and undermine their opponent, talking them down... what satisfactions they get out of this, I will never know.

 

I always favoured Danny but Im beginning to favour the machine more. I dont see the confidence id like to in his interviews.
He seems a little of unsure of himself.
I'll still back him to win by ko.
If Matthysse make an error , it could be the game changer. Garcia got big power too.
Very hard to call.

 

Stylistic nightmare for Garcia.
Everyone who knows boxing should be able to see it.

 

I'd like to add, that Garcia's left hook is the most powerful weapon between the two fighters. However, Lucas has better punch technique and so his power is delivered in a more effective way.

 

I always like an upset, it makes boxing more interesting

for me it's a close call, i slightly favour Lucas, because he's the bigger puncher, and Danny is easy to hit, as Khan and Judah showed

Danny can definitely bang & his left hook can & will do damage, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he even scored a knock down, but apart from the Khan fight he didn't exactly impress against old man Morales or even Zab in his last fight. Whereas Matthysse really looked good against genuine threats Soto & Olusegun, Danny's punches tend to be wide & Lucas throws those straight hard punches which should land first. Danny also doesn't have the speed or movement to really outbox Matthysse so I expect him to engage.

 

I might put some cash on Garcia. I'd rather Matthysse win because Angel is such a piece of ****, but Garcia probably has better defense.

He will still get big wins in the future, just not against Matthysse
