Why are people so bothered about HW unification ??

Your opinion is very accurate IMO, though as a big Peter fan I question wether he should be 2 or 3 in the rankings. Chagaev as you said has been off since April and backed out of his last fight for unknown reasons, this should hurt him in the rankings. On the other hand Peters last fight was shakey to say the least, but he was able to show heart and gather himself to win by UD. I think if Peter beats Maskeav, there should be no doubts he's the number 2 guy, I just hope Peter destroys Maskaev so everyone else will have no choice but to put him at 2.

 

I have come to the conclusion there is no clear cut #2 in the division so I wouldn't have a problem if maskaev, chagaev, or sultan were #2. They are legit titlists but Peter should not be considered top 4 at this point. IMO, he should be between 5-7.

They pulled Mccline off the scrapheap and he had Peter stumbling around the ring like the town drunk. Peter deserves cred for surviving but Mccline lost that fight more than Peter won it. And once again, Peter fouled relentlessly without penalty. He is extremely inconsistent and it will cost him very soon. Trust me :yep

 

I think he is consistent in whacking people ruthlessly but I don't like his boxings skills a lil bit, pardon me Punisher33 ( I still like Peter as a fighter and as a public figure). I don't know if I should trust you, Kobe, that Peter's inconsistency will cost him soon or in Maskaev's doctor who announced him to have had several herniated discs and a couple of bulging discs in his back. If I am to trust in his Doctor, needless is to say that Peter's inconsistency will not play a part that soon .

 

Yes, him getting up off of the mat, repeatedly, to go on and win was commendable, and somewhat impressive. But the credit he gets for his drive to dust himself off and get up to win seems tainted, cause we didn't think his ass would be used as a broom, to begin with. Especially against McCline, who is not even considered to be slightly brutal in punching power.

 

u make a good pt. i see peter-oleg as a 50-50 fight. both have major question marks going in.

so i wouldnt be surprised if peter won but at the same time i wouldn't expect him to hold the wbc for long. but we will see. i still have my doubt this fight will come off. i'd actutally rather see vitali step in for either one.

 

Mccline is known to have early punching power, its as he gets into the later rounds he becomes less powerful. Mccline has knocked Briggs, Bryd, Brock, and Peter down early in fights, the man has sneaky power, plus a 6'6 268 pound frame.

 

of course wlad is "tha man" and recognized too...it'll be ****in hilarious if someone said ibragimov, chagaev, maskaev, valluev, whateverev was number one...without unification, wlad is still the man to beat in the worlds eyes....after he thrashes ibragimov, it'll be more clear obviously....if vitali returns, expect a twintower domination era....that was supposed to happen years ago...thats if vitali dont pull a hernia by sneezing...
