Why are people so quick to dismiss Luis Ortiz?

Do you think that Ortiz beats a 90's George Foreman?

Which people? Brother Louie is still a Top fighter. Losing against the champ is not a disgrace. Wilder may not be a good boxer but he is a great fighter, sick punching power, great chin. Only kind of fighters who could beat Wilder are guys like Lewis, AJ, Vitali Klitschko. Gotta be tough to beat him, constant pressure, not showing any signs of fear, being robust.

Ortiz was GREAT vs Wilder. Absolutely great.
He was winning most of the rounds, he survived a couple of big right hands and windmills, he was completly destroying Wilder in that seventh round where he was saved by the ref at the beginning of the next round. Nobody in the past and nobody in the future (apart from AJ maybe) will do something comparable to WIlder, i guarantee you that 100%.

Ortiz is LEGIT #3 HW out there and everyone who watched a couple of fights knows why. He doesn't need to be 32 and having a AJ like body.

He has a genious ring iq, he has world class counter punching skills, he is moving around very smart and cautious, always knows how to answer with his feet to the opponents movement and he has unreal power and a solid chin. He is a WORLD CLASS southpaw from cuban boxing school and will beat any HW out there apart from AJ and DW for sure. I can not see any guy out there beat him right now.

Whyte beating Ortiz is the biggest trash talk ever. Whyte will have absolutely no chance. If he is smart he will move around and will lose a wide decision, if he tries to brawl he will get knocked out badly. Anyway Ortiz will eat Whyte alive. Parker is a tougher matchup because he can move fast and has fast hands too + great chin but still i expect the same outcome as vs AJ - wide decision Ortiz.

Apart from that.....lol Ortiz will eat them alive. Give him the likes of Kownacki, Breazeale, Takam ....KTFO 100%

People dismiss Ortiz for the same reason that they dismiss Whyte. They don't like Wilder so they have to diminish his best win. People who don't like Joshua all dismiss Whyte, Parker, Wlad etc...

The interesting one will be when Breazeale fights Wilder, and both side will simultaneously be talking him up as a threat and dismissing him.

Can you please stop saying he was saved by the ref, there was none of that going on. Ref checking if each fighter is ready to fight is proper protocol. Jesus H Christ.

You always try to take credit away from Wilder (Whom you dislike). Even after Wilder won, you still trash on him any chance you get and try to rip credit away from him.

You're right, Ortiz was beating the **** out of Wilder in the 7th, but Wilder survived it, and went on to knock Ortiz out. Ortiz was also outpointing him, yes it's true. Taking credit away from Wilder like you've been doing is just sour grapes.

    Ortiz will get hate for:

    1. his age
    2. losing to wilder
    3. already hating on wilder

Ortiz is still a solid HW. No easy pickins for anyone.

So if it's "proper protocol" why the ref did not check Ortiz once in the whole fight (at the beginning at each round) especially at the beginning of the round following his knock down?!

I don't dislike Wilder. I think he is a quite entertaining fighter and personality but i dislike his skills (not his style) and his resume. It's legit to speak about "the ref saved him" because the ref did it only once in the fight and it was after Wilder getting hammered and beaten like **** in that seventh round. Ortiz was caught several times before, even was knocked down and the ref did not check him once or gave him some extra "proper protocol time to recover"....so for me it's still a "save mission by the ref". I have never seen something like THIS. I don't mean that a ref is checking the health of a fighter or his condition, no, i mean the whole ting, timing and so on.

It's common that fighters been checked between the rounds, or directly after a beatdown round, but not checking the fighter between the round but then after the bell ring and the next round started...soory, disgusting and a save mission #1.

btw, about taking credits away from Wilder, NO, i always write that he is legit #2 HW out there. So no hate or something.

He does, you just don't see it. It happens all the time in any sort of fight, especially during times when fighters have taken an extensive amount of damage.

He did it to Ricky Hatton when he fought Floyd after r8, beginning of 9.

He never saved anyone, Wilder survived and that's all there really is to it.

Because they don't want to have to give Wilder credit, next question.
