Why are people still saying Bute got KO'd against Andrade?

you could make the arguement that the ref really should have stopped the fight whe he was wobbling all over the ring & completely out on his feet...but the ref didn't...so whatever.

bute beat the count on his own...& it wasn't a long count by the time he got up (he's up at the ref's 7 which is 8 seconds from when he hit the canvas)...altho the ref gave him much more recoverery time than he should have got after he gets to his feet; the fight was already over by that point anyway (the fight was over as soon as he gets up...the bell had to ring as soon as the ref calls box) so it didn't matter...

but that ref, man...he man not have been helping bute out but he sure made it look like he was trying to...

fair play to bute for going for a rematch & settling it properly...

What did I do wrong in this matter? And what does boxrec have to do with this at all? :huh Bute got lucky, but it wasn't a KO... That's all there is to it!

He beat the count, that is all he had to do. Saved by the bell, he would still would of been off his feet, which he was not, he was standing, not being held up by the ropes put standing on his own, it not look pretty, but it did not have too.

Andrade was robbed of nothing, an was even given a rematch, he failed at that.

Remember, I said "no, it was not a KO."

Way to ignore everything else I said and not comment on it because it makes you sound like an idiot.

    No

Bute fought a rematch and quickly got down to business proving himself the best 168 lb. fight in the world.

He's the best in Canada, not the world. Once he steps out of the Bell Centre and fights someone with a pulse....we'll see.

Exactly, Bute could have lost in other circumstances but the controversy would have existed in the other way.

    Two things for you:

Bute choised to fight despite the doctor`s advice regarding a poisoning. Wasn`t the real Bute that match.

The second fight showed for good the real difference between him and Andrade. You can`t win one or two rounds from 16 having a circumstancial KD/KO most due to the medical condition of your oponent and pretend more.In ten matches from now on Andrade woudn`t beat Bute.

    You're serious man?!
You clearly didn't bother read my posts, didn't understand it, or just chose to ignore it!
    Yes, the ref f#cked up

, but that didn't matter cause the fight was OVER!
    Nope, but

, Bute did get up in time so he wasn't KO'd.
    Yes,

, Bute got lucky... he did get up in time and the fight was over. You can't get stopped by the ref AFTER the final bell to protect you from further punishment...
Indeed it isn't a KO loss. You can't compare it at all to Chavez vs Whitaker or Pac vs JMM because that weren't stoppages.

The questions are; "What from my earlier statements didn't you understand?" and "What has this to do with boxrec at all?" :huh

that wasn't a KO. He looked gone for all money prior to that though.

I think he got KD with about 2 seconds on the clock, and got up by 8 or 9 of the count I did in my head, so that's fine.

If there had been 10 more seconds in the fight he'd have been in serious trouble.

The referee was disgraceful, jumping in with about 30 seconds to go to stop Andrade punching, then the count which seemed to go on forever.

It's one of those where the referee would get slated no matter what, if he'd stopped the fight after the bell..... :yikes
