I've always said that the referee could have easily stopped the fight prior to Bute going down, cause he was tossed around like a little doll for the last 30 seconds.

What I don't understand from many here, unless :

    A- You really hate Bute.
B- You don't bother with the real rules
C- Too many brain dead people on this board.

This has been said hundreds of times and the same guys come back on Bute threads to say the same **** again and again....

Bute went down with 4 seconds left on the time clock, so according to the official rules, not yours, all he has to do in the final round when there's no time left, it's to be up before the count of 10.

Bute was up after 8 real seconds from the time he went down to the time he was on his feet. The ref count is irrelevant with the factual 8 seconds !!

Even if there was no referee in the ring at that moment and even if Andrade stood only 1 foot away from him at that time...Bute would still be the winner because of what was just explained !!!

ANYTHING UNCLEAR ??? PLEASE DON'T MAKE YOURSELVES LOOK DUMB. READ PROPERLY, COUNT PROPERLY AND THINK LOGICALLY !!!

    you are just sour, lol

he cannot be saved by the bell. we all know this. he got up at the end of the round, yes. but he got up before a 10 count fair and square.

he was in no condition to continue, yes. but the bell had rung and the round was over, so there was nothing to let him continue.

he beat an official ten second count (if you count the clock and youtube seconds for example). therefore, he was not ko'd.

I'd have much more respect for them if it was just a matter of hating Bute and admitting it.

Why want to look like an air head though... I don't get it !!

Bell dont save anyone and he had to show he could continue fighting before being sent to his corner. He obviously wasnt in condition to fight at that time.

What's also funny is that Bute was supposed to fight Carl Froch in June 2007 for an IBF eliminator instead of Bika. But guess what ? Hennessy decided to decline that route and wait more than an extra year before getting a shot at another belt...

What's also funny is that Bute's team keep saying they want to face Kessler before the S6 winner for the right to fight that winner but Kessler wants to go directly to the S6 winner...

The worst part is that Bute knocked Andrade the **** out in the rematch

    you could've given Andrade a 20 count.

That's wrong buddy ! That's where many don't undertsand the rule in the final round only with no time left...

He just needs to be up before the count of 10 in the 12th and final round !!

The bell can never save you confuses people because they hear Lederman repeat that same **** before every fights on HBO.

Can't be saved by the bell...meaning you can't be saved by not getting up after the bell rings.

You have to get up before the count of 10 in the final round and all rounds but you have to prove you can continue fighting in any other rounds, except the 12th as per the IBF !!

Nope, he beat the count therefore didn't get knocked out. It's just a shame andrade wasn't as aggressive early on, then again he tried that in the rematch and actually got knocked out (not a fake "yes I know he beat the count, and yes I know the fight was over, but he did get knocked out, honest!")

The round was over. All he had to do was stand up within 10 seconds. He did that (barely).

Yes, the referee's count was hilariously slow and Bute could've taken 20 seconds to get up, but it didn't make any difference.

The haters really come out in force "erm ok he didn't get knocked out but but he's still fighting bums"

Complete different debate, the fact is he beat the count and as such won the fight.

    OMFG!
When I got home to check this thread, I expected to see a huge difference in favour of NO! But apparently common sense is no match for the hate some people here have for Bute!

People here don't care about the rules or what really happened, they care about what they wanted to see and wanted Bute to pay for the referee's mistakes who had no influence on the ending of the bout.

Today I lost a lot of fate in many of my fellow ESB'ers! :-(

At least I thought about making the poll public so everybody knows who doesn't know or don't care about the rules in boxing.
From today on you can be KO'd within 8 seconds, or be stopped to protect you from further punishment after the fight ended. :deal
