Why are people talking about Ryan Garcia's loss and not Davis' victory?

I never liked TikTok. Its pointless as it contributes even less than the likes of Facebook or Instagram, there are waaaay too many girls on there who wh0re themselves out thinking its cool and on top of that its probably a Chinese spy app.

On thread, I have no idea. I think people simply don't like Garcia because he doesn't fight often enough and seems far more interested in being a social media star than a boxer.

Because Tank is a documented abuser of women and has no personality.

Dude is a good boxer, but he is an awful person who doesn't deserve the limelight.

 

Could be racisms happening, you never know.

 

Well considering Garcia is the social media star, it would make sense most social media reactions would focus on his side of the story.

Garcia became famous after his body shot challenges went viral. Afterward he started collaborating with other internet stars , further expanding his presence. He eventually was known for specifically calling out Davis in that heated Mike Tyson interview after the Campbell fight. Which built up the story of him one day facing Davis.

Now that he lost, the media world is of course focusing on the end result of said narrative.

Tank is a low IQ thug. Ryan is a pretty boy.

 

Because Garcia sold most of the tickets and garnered most of the casual attention.

It was the beauty against the beast and guess who people were cheering for in this cowboy story.

 

Ryan pretty clearly underperformed and made lots of amateur mistakes that were surprising to see from someone with his experience.

As I mentioned in another thread, a few of the mistakes are typical for him, but others were definitely unusual.

With that said, id was still a solid win for Tank against a young opponent with lots of firepower, even if he was pretty flawed on the night. The stoppage makes it impressive too, because Ryan has shown good durability and recovery abilities.

 

Because most people already thought Tank would win beforehand, but didn’t expect Ryan to be so uncompetitive (and arguably quit) on the night.

 

So was it also racism when the boxing media did the same thing for Joshua's loss against Usyks win?
