Why are people writing off Foremen & assuming Cotto will win easily?! I'm sick of it!

Well is ee it as a 50/50 fight either foreman gets his liver snatched right out of him. or he pops cotto who's confidence is not fully there and gets a clear ud.

If anything, the Pacquiao fight showed the first time that Cotto had genuine stamina to fight for 12 rounds.

You must have missed the 34 plodders and smaller guys he beat up.

This happened twice out of 36 fights.

Wow. Cliff-notes: Fractured right orbital bone, severely damaged and swollen jaw, cut above both eyes for Malignaggi.

Jermain Taylor: Lost 4 of his last 5 fights, including 3 brutal knock outs, one of which coming from a very one-dimensional kelly pavlik, and the other to a god awful carl froch mainly on the basis that he had basically, nothing more left in the tank. Also, almost killed by Arthur Abraham.

Miguel Cotto: Lost 2 of his last 5 fights, including 2 stoppages via accumulation to a probable cheat and the best fighter of his generation.

 

Foreman is underrated. He is a very good tactital boxer. No he is not the most exciting. Cotto is more exciting and has a large fan base because of this. Everyone likes an exciting boxer but not everyone apricates a skilled boxer.

 

Because the majority think this is a popularity contest.

 

Foreman has good skills, but zero power and his best win is against a totally shot and out of shape Daniel Santos. He also doesn't throw at a high workrate, and if he can't get Cotto's respect at all, which is very likely with his level of punching power, Cotto will come forward with nothing to fear and grind him down.

As to Cotto being overrated, the guy is a two division champion and has faced many of the best fighters in arguably the best division(Welter), in a fairly short period of time. He was in trouble against N'Dou, Judah, and Torres at times, but hardly went life or death with any of them, and he beat the crap out of Malignaggi. The worst that can be said about his fights with Clottey and Mosley(two elite opponents) is that they could have gone either way. One of his losses is to a guy that was most likely cheating at the time, the other to the P4P #1 fighter in the sport. Cotto is not overrated.

All you've basically said is "Cotto isn't that great". Is that supposed to be a well thought out analysis? You don't even mention THE FIGHT and what will happen.
