I'm so tired of hearing about Miguel Cotto this and Miguel Cotto that. He's arguably the most overrated fighter in boxing today. From what I've read on here people are writing off Foremen as if he's some bum. Cotto, his fans and the PRs in attendance are going to be in for the shock of their life. Here's my honest and objective opinion on Cotto.

Yeah he's got, or should I say HAD decent speed, and decent power, but his defense absolutely sucks, and his stamina has turned to utter ****. All he ever does is get punched to smitherines by plodders or smaller guys. His so called power came from past opponents he fought that were too eager to knock him out, therefore, they left themselves open to make a way for him to comeback with a late knockout. It was either that or him infamously going low to the nuts. I guess a win is a win, but Cotto is far from great and has been done since the Mosley fight when Shane had him on the run like a lion chasing down a gazelle in the wild. He was being outboxed by Malignaggi, went life and death with Judah, N'Dou and Torres. Was given gift decisions against Mosley and Clottey.

Sorry, he does'nt impress me at all and he better thank God that Arum and his team kept him away from a sharp shooter like Money at 140 & 147.

People say Jermaine Taylor needs to retire. FFS, he has more left in the tank than Cotto! Cotto quite frankly is a guy who never stepped up to win the big one. Sorry guys, but don't ever expect to see Cotto in Canasta, NY waving to crowd and giving a hall of fame induction speech.

The funniest part about this thread and the few others like it, is if Cotto beats Foreman in a close tough fight he will be criticized for getting a "gift" or going "life and death". There are plenty of people who pick him to lose but will still not give him any credit for winning. Its a lose lose all the time. People said he would never beat Mosley, he wins a close tough but clear decision now everyone says he was given a gift. Many people picked him to lose to Clottey he wins a tough grueling fight with a 4 inch gash over his eye and again he was given a gift. Even if he beats Foreman convincingly, a La malignaggi, which I think he will, the next thread will talk about him not being able to finish off a guy like that and going "life and death". It never ends.
