Why are Potatoes considered bad?

    COMPARED to other veggies, no they are not calorically dense, but COMPARED to other veggies, for example broccoli, cauliflower, etc.

    I meant the statement of "they're like eating white sugar" from the guy I quoted.

    Potatoes are complex carb, starch = complex carbs. Great for energy, but store as fat easier than less starchy carbs as you mentioned. Potatoes should be a fighters friend.

    Lots of starch. It could make loosing those last few pounds tough.

    I've always eaten them, obviously you need some other veg with it and also a source of protein and thats a meal.
