Saw McEwan at Fighting Scots Gym in Stepps the other day and he was amazing! Billy Nelson has got him in great shape and I reckon he could easy get down to LMW. But when I spoke to him he said that Golden Boy were just ignoring his emails and he can't get a fight. They asked if he would take Ouma a few weeks ago and he said yes but he doesn't think they even asked Ouma. Its like there stringing him along. doubt he will as good as sparring over in the uk, but if roach wasnt paying him attention he did the right thing, hope he gets a good fight soon seems like a good guy
I imagine they aren't best pleased about him training in the UK. It's for the best though. I'm sure Billy will be getting him decent sparring here and he'll get the direction that he wasn't getting at the Wild Card.
Sign with someone over here. People just go to the Wildcard and assume they'll be the P4P #1 within 12 months. With Roach having his hands full with Pacquiao and Khan to a lesser extent he'd be lucky if he got a couple of rounds on the pads. His career didn't have any direction anyway, he was just fighting good journeyman after middling journeyman after average journeyman.... meaningless ten rounder after meaningless ten rounder. At least with Billy he'll be in shape and ready if the call comes. Why not try and grab the British in the meantime?
