I did say that Clottey could KO Williams in a fight.... on accumation punches. Not a one punch KO. As I said before Williams is the favorite, Clottey should have trouble getting inside, but as the fight goes on Williams has proven to get sloppy, and Clottey being the precision puncher he is will have loads of opportunity to land. For Clottey to win he has to step up the workrate, it is a necessity. If he steps up the work rate I could see a KO. But it's all speculation.. I think Clottey knows that is what he must do.. its a matter of whether he will/can execute or not.

Clottey has puncher power maybe not one punch knock out but he has power that wears you down.

That's news to me. He has good power, but not great. What he does have is one hell of a beard.

For a man of his size he's a pretty poor puncher.

Clottey definitely hits harder than Carlos Quintana.

Its debatable whether he has Big Pop in his gloves, but he is definitely not feather fisted and he throws straight shots as opposed to looping shots. Clottey is technically sound and I remember he was giving Margo the BIZ in those early rounds before he broke his hand. We all know Margo is running from Williams, but I betcha he won't be looking for Clottey either. I am surprised that Margo does not want to unify. However, if Clottey and Williams fight, the winner could call out Margo much louder than either one can now...Margo just aint listening. Margo is the third best welterweight behind Paul Williams and Clottey.

I know any mention of Margo not being the greatest or getting the BIZ from Clottey would send some nincompoop into hysterics...thank you for being Exhibit A. Now tell me this mr. Warrior, why in the hell is Margo running from Williams.???...you don't have a real good answer for that, so go ahead and spit fire you asswipe!

    think about it..

Corrales (RIP champ), a former 130 pound fighter always known for a questionable set of whiskers (huge heart though) was TKO'd in every single one of his losses except for the 3rd casamayor bout, yet moved up not one, but TWO divisions, to fight a guy already known to be big for his weight class and still lasted the distance.

that'd be like cotto, who many say has questionable whiskers, moving up to fight a big middleweight like abraham or pavlik and lasting the distance.

I believe Clottey is one of the most under-rated & avoided:nono fighters at 147:yikes. He is my favorite welter:happy but he is not the hardest puncher at 147. If he is he's holding back. However, he is probably the most solid fighter in his weight class:nono and he does keep his opponents honest.:admin He has never been hurt (with the exception of his hands vs. Margarito:hi:) and he does throw a very strong combination.:bbb He is a good puncher and a very punishing fighter, with a few tricks here and there. He did not headbutt Zab, that was a punch!:rofl And as far as the Corrales fight,:tired didn't he break a few bones in Chico's face?:!:
