Uh, genius, Kessler is one of my top-5 favorite boxers. Has been for years. I was rooting for him. But the heartless dogging of Green, who came to fight, not run, and lost hard, is chickensh*t. Enjoy your place in the 80%.

Yeah, sore loser too. Claimed Kessler beat him by luring him to a weight that wasn't ideal for him. :blood

I wonder if people will be shitting on Bute like this once Froch has him laid out cold with no corrupt Canadian referee to save him?

Unlike you, I am a REAL fan of Kessler's in that I don't need to pretend this win was meaningful by trying to fluff it up. I respect Mikkel too much to spread bull**** on his behalf to make him look better. His resume stands on its own already without needing to pass off yesterday's win as anything special.

    Green sucks. :hi:

He, I don't believe that Danish people are particularly arrogant, but it's an interesting point of view. Usually Danes are very careful not to boast or let on that they believe themselves to be better than anyone else. Our whole society is based around this: in most places of work it's impossible for one worker to earn a higher wage than any of his colleagues - because the whole wage-structure is flat. Even if you are working more and doing a better job, you're making the same as the guy at the next table. The upside is that everyone is expected to do a decent job. Denmark is egalitarian in the extreme. There are a few national traits that could come across as arrogant: because danes are egalitarian, we are not particularly polite. No-one here holds the door open for a woman and staff in restaurants are notoriously un-servicelike (in fact, they seem downright rude, whenver I come back after spending time abroad). That's also to do with the fact that Danes are very cool-tempered and behave more or less like robots in public places. No-one strikes up conversations in busses or in the grocery store - everyone is expected to be efficient in the public sphere and not bother anyone else. I stayed in Spain for a while and it was a shock to see how relaxed people were in public - and how inefficient they were as well. Anyway, this is becoming a WoT, but that's our national character - it is easily misunderstood.

Kessler has a bit of swagger, but he is almost too nice for boxing as well. Some of the sh*t that Ward's team pulled before their fight really put him off his stride (calling his hotel at night, having a guy demand to stay in his dressing room while he was getting ready etc.). He just would never have thought people would resort to that kind of thing - that's the Dane in him. He expects people to respect his space like he does theirs.

Your style seems to be to kick them when they're up, which is more admirable at the expense of being right.

Go read my posts on this fight instead of making up garbage. I've only said that Green showed up to fight and fought with heart. Plus, he had Kessler hurt in the 1st. Green got brutally KTFO. That's bad enough, but when dickheads in front of computer screens start dogging him it's just embarrassing: Guys who wouldn't have the nuts to even disagree with the guy in person, let alone tell him he's sh*t. Cowards with keyboards.

Because he is a salesman and not a boxer. Let him become a promoter if all he can do is sell fights.

I still cannot believe the fact that people are still making ridiculous excuses for Kessler. Face it! He was outclassed by a superior boxer! Ward would school Kessler 10 times out of 10. He's simply more talented, more athletic, far more intelligent, and more skilled.

Yeah, go ahead and laugh it up, but it's no fun when you are in my position, working your backside off and getting the same exact reward as all the guys doing just about average. Oh well, guess I should just learn to kick back. ;-)

Hey, I'm not saying he wasn't beaten by a better fighter. I'm just pointing out a flaw in his character. Ward would have beat Kessler anyway, imo.

My point being, why would ANYONE want to work hard in that type of environment? Where's the incentive to go the extra mile?

Okay, sounded a bit like a defense/excuse for Kessler's one-sided loss. Fair enough!
