Why are some saying that Jermain didn't get up because Smoger...

because they're upset the hype job got knocked out

 

They're really saying that?

Yeah, Smoger was in his way for the whole 2 minutes it took for Jermain to get to his feet.

 

I don't know about any of that. But in my opinion Jermaine should have taken a knee after he took that first big shot, then he could have gathered himself and got out of the round. Instead several follow up uppercuts did him in, Pavlik had him dead to rights in the corner.

 

Jermain has limited ring intelligence. Don't ever expect him to make "smart" moves in the ring. He just does what his ability will allow him to do, but he can't make in-the-moment adjustments because he panics so badly.

 

If the camera wasn´t invented, they would say that Smoger was standing on his balls.

I havent seen anyone use that excuse. And if they did, its all to rile up the Pavlik fans. Taylor was in no way, shape, or form going to be able to continue after that onslaught by Pavlik.

 

I haven't seen that excuse before, but I sure as hell don't agree with it.

 

taylor shoulda low blow pavlik to get out of there.

 

Or just taken a knee instead of retreating into the corner.

 

I belive Taylor could have goting up. Dont know what good it would have done, as he was close to being out, but it would have been a few more movments for Kelly to beat up on Taylor for the knockout or stoppage.

 

That's bull****. Taylor was too out of it to do anything. His eyes were glassy and he wasn't full coherent until a minute or so after the stoppage.
