Why are the current heavyweights so soft and pudgy?

its best to ignore the body of any heavyweight outside the top 2, although it is unfortunate that those top 2 pose naked together

Ali wasn't the leanest guy around, not everybody looked like Ken Norton then.
In the 60s when Ali was sub 200 or sub 210 he was very lean, but no longer at 217.

Also Ken Norton was a cruiser in his prime...
If you want to compare the 70s with modern day you must also look at the modern cruisers.

overdoing the weight training/bulking up stuff. Povetkin vs Chagaev looked like two guys who are power lifters or bouncers having a boxing match.

Heavyweights have always been the most out of shape divisions. Having no weight limit makes it easier to be out of shape and to fight out of shape.

its k2s fault..they put it in their slave contracts that all fighters they face have to have a bmi above 20%..

its also k2s fault because all the boxing experts on esb are convinced that they are so bad at what they do that you dont need to train to beat them..just land one punch and its over...

    so to sum it up.

1.k2 put bmi of above 20% to get in the ring with either brother
2.because they are so bad in the ring their opponents dont need to train because all it takes is one punch..hence why they agree to the above 20% bmi..

damn klitschkos damn them straight to hell

Really? Povetkin looks like a big bag of milk, and Chag is extremely soft. These guys don't resemble powerlifters. Chubby 230 lb bouncers I'll give you though. I think it's true that guys who are viewed as undersized, or are stuck between cruiser and being an averaged sized heavy feel the need to put on mass to compete. Unfortunately a lot of them just don't put on quality mass and don't look much better than avergae guys off the street physique wise,.
