Why are the higher weight divisions more populated with Eastern Euros at the top?

EE's are usually big men, except for loma

if EE's could stop growing every division would be dominated by them

under 6'0 in russia = midget

    That's false

Klitschko is as American as they come. He learned elite boxing skills by an American trainer, lives in America, married a famous American actress, and has an American child. He also speaks English better than most Americans, including Brandon Rios.

Hernandez is the champ at CW, Stevenson the champ at LHW and Cotto the champ at MW.

Are you Eastern European? Or British?

And that's LHW which is decent size.

The average American man is only about 1.5" shorter than the average eastern euro...

One of my personal theories is that it seems like they all have very good power. Power is more valuable at higher weight classes. This is because you have the same skull material, but more force. The more you can hurt someone with your shots, the greater chance you have of winning. So this style seems to work well.

OR is there truly just this unseen group of European fighters that are very good technically and can compete, but they are like Kotelnik, not exciting to watch so promoters aren't willing to back them? Let's face it... Promoters want guys who they think can draw a crowd... Not boxing ability. So maybe thats why we only see the guys who have great power. (Beterbeiv, Golovkin, Kovalev, etc)

Let's not forget if Lou Dibella had not bothered to watch some of Sergio Martinez's videos he wouldn't have signed him. We may never have heard of Martinez then. I truly believe there are some decent talents out there that could compete, but they never get the right people around them. They get a few losses early in their career and then the deck is always stacked against them. They become the "opponent". They get robbed, slips counted as knock downs etc.

    Of course they are.

For one, Kovalev's best win was against a 50 year old senior citizen, that's how he got 2 of his 3 belts.

His promoter doesn't want to man up to Stevenson, it's cool though. Kovalev is a very exciting fighter, so is Stevenson.

But until Duva man's up to Stevenson's demands, Stevenson is clearly the number 1 LHW.

At MW, a shot to **** damaged goods former JR WW champ is the best fighter there with the best resume.

Lemmy only got the belt because the IBF champ literally got sent to a mental hospital and the title became vacant.. :rofl:rofl

A coupe of things have seriously screwed up the Americans grip on the sport:

    1- Stricter PED testing.

2- The number of titles and weights classes and expansion of the internet:

Say what you want about how this has 'ruined' boxing but it's given more opportunity. Most 'ATG's' are American, but the Golovkin's and the Kovalev's and the Brook's got the chances by working their way up governing body rankings when in a US dominated sport you would have just the Broner's of this world fighting bums like Berto.
