They where talentless brawlers just look how limited they are.the likes of William joppy would be too much for them simply based on skillset.
This golden era bull**** really pisses me off

Well Lamotta was smacked all over the damned place by welterweights Zivic and Robinson at 160. I see where you are coming from. Lamotta especially, would fair quite poorly against the best around his weight.

Didn't both of them beat a cat named ray Robinson? Wasn't he supposed to be a decent boxer?

They had good resume's because they where fighting other technically flawed fighters.robinson feasted on them because he was advanced but he wouldn't be special today.they fought in a hard era not technically great.imagine mayweather in with them he would have a field day

Fighting against the best around, over 15rounds & 10 times a year?

That sounds like just the sort of thing Mayweather would do

They are great because they both beat SRR, they also fought the best of their era, If you would watch the footage of these guys you could see just how tough they really are. Angelo Dundee trained Carmen and said Carmen would show up for training always on time would wrap his own hands and train his ass off like no other. He never stepped in the ring out of shape. They both would fight anybody at any time. Their metal toughness alone make them both great.

If you're looking for cleverly skilled fighters, they both fit the description. If you're looking for aesthetically pleasing styles, look somewhere else- but don't confuse the two. Flashy, fast, and efficient aren't the only ways to be skilled and effective.

Once you have beaten someone convincingly why beat them over and over.if mayweather beat corales 8 times would it make him greater ?
