    White?

This befuddles me claiming that racism doesn't exist anymore or whites are discriminated against. There are far and few white money makers in the sport of boxing, yet the overwhelming majority of commentators, judges, referees, state athletic commissions basically the unending non contributing bureacracy are an unrepresentative demographic compared to the sport.

Why is this? Has race played a role overtly in the sport and its SAC selection anyone? ANy good links regarding the topic?

    What is SAC?

Anyone can become a judge or a ref.
I do agree most of the bureaucrats in boxing are white, I guess it is a left over from white affirmative action in the 50s,60s, and 70s. Most of these guys and women are older like 60s, 70s and 80s. They got their job when it was not a competitive market and the market was restricted to white men and women.

Alot of these people are kids of execs and other high level bureacrats in boxing.
So alot of this is 2nd generation affirmative action. Most the high level bureacrats got their for being white. When it comes to hiring its kids, cousins, niece, nephews and so on in that order then friends and then strangers. So it is hard for a mexican/ black to break in.

So yes it is harder for a minority to break in simply because of this. While the affirmitive action for white men is officially over it still operates on a more subtle level. I think a white and black applicant for judge or ref or other bureacrat have almost equal chance of being hired if both are unknowns (although white might get a one up because of subtle racism aka soft skills or corporate "fit"). But most jobs don't come this way most jobs aren't blind hires but rather hired through friend of friends, family etc. So take it for what it is.
