Joe had more skill in his little finger than Rocky, went to Germany and made Mario Veits girlfriend cry a river of tears inthe front row he beat her man up so much, in fact, same happened to Lacy, he had to tell his own girl to shut up she was crying and screaming so much. Calzaghe would do the same to Ward in oakland, just like he made B-Hop act like a ***** post fight in his own country, even B-Hop acted like he lost, then bitched like the ***** he is afterwards.

    "Act your age man!"

calzaghe is long retired, but without a doubt one of the very best SMWs. Now it is Wards go. To bad they never met. But, Joe ain't coming back to fight Andre, unless of course the money is huge. Even then, I don't think so..

If you cut off both of Dawson's feet he is still a better win then RJJ when Calzaghe beat him.

So some of the top guys at 175 from the 80s would beat the top guys at 168 of todays era? Wow way to go out on a limb there buddy.

PS- the thought of Froch vs Lopez or Saad Muhammad makes me hard. No homo

A good American SMW emerging, and then US fans declaring that he'd have KOed Calzaghe, was totally predictable.

The same will happen at HW at some point if an American fighter wins a belt. Theere will be a deluge of posts saying that this fighter would have KOed both Klitschkos.

They're not posting what they actually believe, but what they would like to be true!

Nobody even mentions Calslappy except on this site. When the media talking heads go on about Robinson, Hagler, Leonard and such, when does Calslappy's name ever get mentioned among them? RJJ does, even Ward is being mention in that same class, a little too early in my opinion, but that's the respect Ward garners. I'm sure in the UK, especially Wales Calslappy is all the rage. Outside of that he's just Sven Otkke 2.0....

So all of the Euro's saying Slappy Joe would surely KO Ward, are essentially saying the same thing right? What they would like to be true, not what they actually think. The Euro's are threatened that someone, and an American at that, will in all likelihood surpass anything that Slappy Joe ever accomplished at 168. That worries our friends across the pond because outside of Calslappy, the Euro contingent doesn't have much to hang their hats on, except perhaps Lennox Lewis I suppose.

All we ever hear about Calslappy is how he "dominated" the division for 10 years, beating fringe contenders and challengers of the WBO tilte nobody cared about outside of the UK. Ward has done more the last two years than Joe did his whole career in terms of quality of opposition, which is pretty ****ing pathetic on Joe's part if you really sit down and look at it without the Calslappy bromance. I guess Calslappy can have his place for now, but when it's all said and done Ward WILL be the more accomplished of the two. Don't fret though, Hatton is making a comeback and if that doesn't work out, there is always Amir Khan.....

His record isnt as bad as people make out to be, sure in 10 years he could have fought better opposition but most of it was due to Ottke hiding in hitlers bunker

Hopkins - went onto win WBC LHW belt after losing to Joe
Kessler - went onto beat Froch and Green
Bika - Still a top contender and gives anyone a hard fight
Lacy - Well he was the IBF champion at the time
Veit - Holds wins over Former champ Brewer and future champ Braehmer
Mitchell - Should have been WBA/IBF champion
Brewer - should have been IBF champion
Sheika - Coming off win over Glen Johnson
David Starrie - another Ottke robbery
Robin Reid - Former WBC champ
Richie Woodhall - Former WBC champ
Chris Eubank - 2 weight world champion, went onto challenge Carl Thompson

I'd say the legit defences were Kessler, Reid and Lacy... plus Veit I and Woodhall were legit enough contenders if somewhat weak..and I'd include Bika but thats about it.

thats about 6 decent defences, which is very shy of the 20 legits he claims. Most champions fight a couple of bumfights too, so you could excuse say Mitchell and Manfredy. SO you can pass Joe on about 8 of his defences, but you cant excuse the pudwill sheika **** level which was taking the **** (although arguably they were passable opponents for an unknown WBO title that is about the level of the european title). I think thats why he only creeps into HOF, because of his backdoor approach to getting there.

Still respectable though, takes commitment to stay at that level for so long.
