Who benefits from them? Certainly not new fans. What do you,the veterans of ESB think?

I DO, I can become the ABC (Alternative Boxing Consortioum) light-junior superfly weight of the Tri-State region since I'm the only pro boxer in the area at between 113&1/4 and 113&3/4 lbs!
I have a dehydration specialist in my camp so I will be my usual 126 lbs on fight night :) This gives me about a 6 weight class advantage over **** ant 'natural' Light-junior superflyweights. So Now I will have me a regional title to promote and defend for more MONEY :) It enhances my reputation and career value and lessens the chance my management will put me in the ring against a real live boxer and cash me out for the 30 pieces of silver I might actually be worth!
Of course I might have to go all the way up light junior Bantyweight at 115&1/8 to get a fight but if I lose that I can claim I was fighting 2 division above my best weight!!

3lbs is a massive change in weight, no one can be expected to fight a guy 3lbs or more bigger.

There is a difference. Ivan Calderon proved that. But yeah, generally unnecessary and all about $£.
