You think that's BS because you're not too bright. Massive Heavyweights usually always crush smaller Heavyweights unless they're big lumbering lummoxes and they're in there with a agile fast hard hitting small Heavyweight and even then they usually find a way to win (see Fury-Cunningham). Smaller guys are far more fragile than big guys, due to how tiny they really are, I've dated women who weigh more than most Minimumweights and they were far from fat. Heavyweights have more cushion for the punching and they can absorb a hell of a lot more from an opponent than some tiny little ladyboy with no meat on his bones and hardly any muscle mass can. Do you really think that Hekkie Budler could remotely competitive with Vasyl Lomachenko, he'd die in the ring against Inoue, Golovkin would literally tear his head from his shoulders. Kovalev would kill Floyd Mayweather. The bigger you are, the tougher you are.... It is what it is. Salka who has a solid chin at SFW was brutalized by Garcia with ease, Josesito was crushed by Canelo, Chavez smashed by Fonfara, because weight divisions exist for a reason, they can stay the way they are.
This is a good post. In boxing being bigger means a lot. That's what these dumbasses on these boards don't understand. Size is the most important thing in boxing. It's even more important than skill. It just is. What's funny though is that in America women have a higher BMI than the men. Men being heavier is basically because they're taller. Sad, but true in America these days.
That said just eliminate strawweight and light flyweight. For the very few guys who fit those weight classes who cares? Nobody cares about their fights. The talent pool is small and it's just pointless. Nobody cares about them. So get rid of it.
That's what I said in my original post, or at least combine them. But to say they can't make it to 112 is somewhat ridiculous, they can easily go to a strength and conditioning coach and bulk themselves up 7 pounds.
It would be a massacre, only in the WWE does Rey Mysterio beat the Big Show. I'm 5'11 and fairly muscular I weigh 205 to 210 depending on the day, I'm only about 7 or 8 inches taller than your average Mini or Fly fighter yet I'm basically two of them.
China, Indonesia, Japan & in the future large parts of SE Asia (~2 Billion) All fit in the category you want to eliminate, its a big part of the future of boxing & allows them to develop to future Flyweights...etc & even guys Like Manny Pacquiao (who started at the division you want to eliminate & made the biggest fight in boxing history) Its good for you, you don't understand :think
If you're over 200 at 5'11" then you are really jacked. You'd be a 5'11" cruiserweight and those guys look like hummers.
It's good for those countries because they dominate those divisions for the sole reason that other nations don't have the guys small enough to be in them. A strawweight is exceptionally small. Many standard deviations below the normal guy.
I'm basically around the same size as Lebedev. http://www.wbanews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/4915aik002.jpg
Its also bone structure, alot of humans valued height so 3'1" people didn't co-exist with 6'2" people. While 130 lbs & 260 lbs humans co-exist. This has to do more with demand for height (general) vs Robust built (speciation) In the Heavyweight division a Robust built is a must & in the extreme lower divisions Gracile built is a must & Mid-Divisions have both types In WWE only Robust types can compete, similar to how only Gracile females can compete in Modeling. The contrast creates the hybrid features common in men. If Robust males were stritcly attracted to robust females (possibly happened but didn't work), they would have bred to become very huge (as the goal is to favor robust traits & males will select huge females), opposed is gracile & robust females usually favoring Rich guys :smoke Thats why we have 17 divisions & we will possibly have more :think
China + Indonesia + Japan are > Europe + USA, its perfectly normal to be in Straw weight limit in those regions. Robust people who fit Heavyweight are actually the minority & they mainly concentrate in the colder climate regions of Europe & African Americans (who were bred with 30% North European Autosomal select gene flow), in Africa a small minority of Nigerians fit the Heavyweight division.
From Europe: Think of the Great Europeans that herded the masses Napoleon Banoparte Alexander The Great Joseph Goebbles All were within the now Non-European weight classes, what do we do with them, they should have to get in the ring & do some baxing :smoke
I understand that there are size variations. I'm just saying that 105 and 108 are unnecessary. There is zero fan interest for those weight classes. Very few boxers are that size. They don't need to exist.
