Why are they carrying Victor Ortiz around?

Its Canelo vs Ortiz in September. Oscar has been wanting to put Victor in with Canelo.:yep Its a fight that sells bigtime in the Mexican community in Socal and Mexico proper.:happy

 

Is Victor Ortiz with Al Haymon? If not then I can see Oscar wanting to use Ortiz in with Canelo. Might as well. GBP needs to make fights. ANd Victor is in shape. He did Expendables a while back. At 155 would be great. :yep

Plenty of good fights for Victor Ortiz out there.

Ortiz vs. Berto II, Ortiz vs. Josesito II, Ortiz vs. Peterson II, Ortiz vs. Guerrero, Ortiz vs. Spence/Algieri winner, and heck even Ortiz vs. Judah all would be great fights to watch and somewhat relevant or understandable. Ortiz vs. Alvarez is not on or near being on that list.

Ortiz vs. Khan if/when he loses to Alvarez would be very reasonable. I'm calling that right now. Khan's comeback fight after losing to Alvarez will be vs. Victor Ortiz.

Canelo vs. Ortiz would be comedy gold. It would be like Canelo vs. Kirkland but shorter.

 

Kirkland made Canelo huff and puff, Ortiz would make him look like Ronald Mcdonald.
