Any doctor on the planet who examines Riddick Bowe and see's this dude pushing 280 to 300 pounds of blubber in his girth area and hears him mumbling his words, and passes this dude off as healthy is a crooked ******* who the AMA should look into and have his license revoked.....

if beïng overweight is such an issue than Eric Esh (Butterbean) should never be allowed in the neighbourhood of a boxing ring, so that's not such a big deal.
Believe me, I don't want to see this guy 'box' also, but if he passes the medical then let him.

Actually, Butterbean had to lose weight to become a boxer at first..... He was reported to be over 430 pounds at one point in his life before going on the butterbean diet to lose weight.......... Butterbean was only 334 pounds for his 2002 fight with Larry Holmes......... Now, as of late, Bean is now over age 40 and looking 400 pounds..... B.B. is back to being a slob.... He shouldn't be boxing at this stage.......

Black club-fighter 'Gabriel Brown' is another slob of a pig who has lard hanging from all angles of his jellied body..... He could be a spokesman for KFC and it would be believable.... How this guy gets a boxing license is beyond me....... However, it ain't cool.......

I just hope he doesn't end up badly hurt as he was showing signs of being punch drunk at 29. I saw him on the undercard of Klitschko and he still has some of the old moves, but I don't see the point in him carrying on.

    Helenius?

You can see that coming from a mile... A up and coming fighter wanting to put a 'has been' big name scalp on his resume. And Bowe is an easy target now!

Exactly my point. I see everyone mentioning his record but if you watch him do an interview you'll need an interpreter :patsch. Not good and it's irresponsible for anyone to license him just because he needs money.

I'll go out on a limb here and say if he lost weight (a lot) and got in shape, I'd bet Bowe could at least be competitive against some better tier opponents even at this age. In his prime the guy had one of the most complete skillsets youd ever see on a heavyweight. Right after the Golota fights Bowe couldn't even complete a sentence, then he takes 10 years off and you hear him talk now and he sounds perfectly normal. If anything that break did him good and may have helped him dodge the punchy bullet.

A prime Riddick Bowe had the potential to beat just about any heavyweight in history. Loved watching the guy, someone that size with the speed and power moving as smooth as butter was a sight to see.
