They are supposed to be promoting Wilder v Fury but they are putting so much effort in to discrediting AJ and Hearn. I find it the most cringeworthy parts of these very cringeworthy events. Hearn and AJ can be mature and professional enough to call it a good fight and they are looking forward to it.

On top of that half of what DiBella and Peanut Finkel are saying is all being said in preperation for the AJ Wilder fight. They are preparing for the DAZN v PPV argument that is no doubt going to happen when they do try to negotiate that fight.

Because that's what this whole thing is about, I'll believe this fight actually happens when both men are in the ring and the bell rings.

Because Joshua is both their goal, as that's the big (money) fight.

Because all roads lead to Joshua at heavyweight. Fact is if the prospect of a huge payday vs Joshua wasn't on the line this fight wouldn't even be happening. Wilder would probably be fighting Breazeale or Kownacki instead and happily defending his little portion of the title in the US in obscurity.

Because Fury vs. Wilder will generate $10 million. And they know Joshua generates $40 million routinely. So it's a lot of jealousy involved.

They know the winner of Fury vs. Wilder (including rematch!) will still not be the #1 fighter in the world. Although they keep repeating that 10 times each presser.

Klitchko didn't sell tickets like AJ Tyson was how long ago , the fact remains there is plenty of envy over Joshua and it's embarrassing that he's the A side in a fight he's not even participating in.

Klitschko was boxing in sold-out arenas in Germany when Femi was still dealing drugs in the streets.

Because all roads lead to AJ. The money man of the division.

All they are doing is further cementing that fact.

His numbers don't match AJ's ,Takham and Povetkin fights are both in the top 10 highest attendances in boxing history , Wlads only appearance in the top 10 is against AJ

    This.

Obviously Team Wilder and Frank warren have some lines they want to get out regarding Joshua but even if the boxers themselves wanted to try and avoid the subject, as Fury perhaps may, it's pretty much impossible. If you're a journalist at that presser you are under instructions to make sure the Joshua angle is brought up, or if not you will do so anyway or you don't belong at the presser.

Whatever your opinion of him, Joshua is the superstar in the division. His name and image equate to page impressions, clickthru rates, issues sold, viewing figures etc. Whatever metric you want to apply he's going to improve it.
