OP is a switch hitter and seamlessly goes from being a top to a bottom.

Obviously, the politics of the sport doesn't allow this. Promoters, Managers, TV Execs, the mafia, the powers that be all have a hand in making this very difficult. Its a Business.

I would say the sanctioning bodies would have 2 fights a year regardless if their champion was unified or by themselves.

Also lets say the sanctioning fee is 3% per org, so 12% go to sanctioning fees. If being unified generates much bigger purses then this could benefit the boxer as well (make 500k for a title defense, lose 3% which would leave the boxer with 485k, vs orgs take 12% of a 10 mil purse leaving the boxer with 8.8 mil).

I also realize there are other factors to go along with this and its not a simple equation, i just feel that its absolutely in the fans best interest and possibly the orgs

Fair point mate, although I think the gap between 500k for a 1 belt champ and 10mil for a unified is too much - when Fury and AJ fight, it'll generate huge money especially in the UK, even people that don't care about boxing here talk about it , so the unification itself will be huge but then defenses aren't gonna be anywhere near that amount - wilder 3 wouldn't have the same lustre as the unification fight . To be fair, you did say there are other factors , Im just saying 500k-10mil is reaching a little

If Top boxers are forced to face each other, they will become journeymen & the fans belief system will be wrecked...destroying the "for-profit" Anglo-American current structure of boxing, will result in something different. An alternative setting, a less favorable setting for what the current fans like, in more regulated regimes boxers were forced to get in the ring and lose to make the fuhrer happy.

Your fantasy can become a reality if you lobby for it in an Equality enforcing regimes, because they fundamentally oppose the idea of Elite-boxers, so debasing the current surplus of Elite boxers, will make for 2 years worth of great match-ups, the finite supply of Elite boxers will be replaced by party-sponsored nanotech enhanced athletes who are programmed to box & humiliate the last human opponents that refuse to get the latest updates installed. Once they finish the current stock of boxers they will open history books, circle Floyd record, march Floyd Mayweather into the ring & force-feed him his first L, unrestrained...they will have in-conflicts to add legal losses on the records of...based on high-fidelity re-enactments...the same people who deleted Junlong Zhang wins are the same people who can easily be pressured to do worse...
