Why are Tyson & Liston considered bullies

Not a question really of quitting although he did so several times and tried to foul out several other occasions. Tyson just became a different fighter when in a real fight where he was losing. He did not have the stuff that historians look for when looking for all time greatness. As an example what Ali did in Manila is classic. Most any other hwt would have folded under the pressure Frazier put on Ali that night. Ali rose up in the late rounds when it looked like he had nothing left to make Joe unable to continue. Ali was out on his feet mid round 11 and instead of falling erupted to win the bout three rounds later.

 

And ,to top it off I won some money on it! Life can indeed be sweet!

 

Ali won the 11th round.

 

I don't remember Tyson being described as a bully in the ring until he lost, to be fair.

 

Same recollection as myself.

 

No way he scares Oscar, however, and he would be in the fight of his life.

 

I gave the 11th to Frazier. A short hook mid round had Ali out on his feet. Announcer at ringside missed it and unless you watch closely you will miss it also. Short inside hook to the head with Fraziers back to you. Ali's hands drop and Frazier tee's off. Then Ali holds for dear life but comes out of the clinch with multiple lead rights. Flashy but not enough to win the round in my book.
