I always get a good laugh at the Jack Johnson nuthuggers on here. The guy would get destroyed by just about every Heavyweight champion after him sans maybe one or two. Can you imagine Lennox Lewis, George Foreman, or Vitali Klitschko against Jack Johnson? It would be murder.

Hmm.... you make a goof point there. (See, we can disagree and give the other guy credit....back to having a bit of humility).

What you should understand is, there has been big HW's before, and they HAVE been beaten by smaller guys.

Johnson didn’t have the best Chin either and he was flat footed. He would take a savage beating from a guy as big and skilled as Lennox.

and? Its about who dominated the division for the longest time. Tyson is the only exception to this rule and his reign was quit short.

He would be a cruiser today if you just take him as is into today's world

But given today's training and nutrition,, who knows?

It's not just about length, it's about the quality of the whole. Michael Grant, David Price, Audley Harrison, Bonecrusher smith, Jameel McCline, Nicolay Valuev, Corrie T Rex sanders, Derrick Jefferson...should ALL have had highly successful careers then, since they were SprHW's.
But they didn't. And all lost to smaller guys. Good big guys are the exception to the rule, not the basis of it.
Vitali and Wlad....and to an extent, deontay and Fury, had the advantage of being in weak eras.

valuev is the living proof. The guy started boxing at 21, has absolutely no talent nor coordination,no speed and on top if that doesn't even punch hard. But he was a hw champion and never lost a fight in brutal clear fashion, even when he lost it was actually quite competitive even against haye.
If the guy would have been 6‘6 he wouldn't have even made it to the top 50y

He was just a titlist (I don't like titlist being called champs. just my thing I guess). But yeah, maybe not the best example for me :D
I really liked the guy. Not as awkward as one would expect. While that wasn't the best of examples, it does reflect that the # of guys over 6'6", only a few have been able to use their size to become truly great fighters. With Fury's size and agility, I would give him a shot at ANY HW who's lived. Personally, I love the gypsy mofo. I love hearing him sing after a fight! :D But one has to have that special item in their arsenal that makes them above the rest. A few SprHW's have it, most don't. Size is fantastic as HW. But you gotta have more than that. And so far, only a handful of SprHWs have had that.

How many HW’s in the past fell on the floor after missing wild punches?

You never saw ANY of the 60’s guys weigh-in.

    You are only making assumptions.

    You are an ignorant P.O.S.

I’ve already obliterated your stupid theory.

I can name you FIVE WHOLE DIVISIONS that are WEAKER than what they were 20-40 years ago.

Dude do you even watch those old fights? Every boxer falls down at some point thts just the nature of a fight. I myself fell a couple times in sparring, this also happens in brawls and so often the case in the old guys. I get more and more the feeling that you dont even watch old fights.
