LMAO, what does that prove exactly?

    1. I have 0 issue with people thinking Hagler beats Canelo, he has a very good chance. It's a fantasy matchup, if I had to bet my house on it, I'd bet 60/40 in Canelo's favour.

    2. We're not debating Hagler/Canelo here, we're talking about what Duran, Hearns and SRL accomplished at MW. I say not much, and most elite MWs would beat them, which you seem to heavily dispute without providing any facts, for the simple reason that they're "greats".

    3. Galileo believed that the earth revolved around the sun, the rest of the world thought he was crazy. My point is, majority vote on a "fantasy" matchup that can never be proven absolutely proves nothing. It's a logical fallacy appealing to the majority, which is as much a logical fallacy as they come.

What Bias? I don't understand exactly what your argument is? Canelo and Mayweather fought at JMW, not even that, so how does it count towards a fantasy matchup at MW. What bearing does it have on a fight at MW?

MAB and Morales used to fight at WW on fight night. Are we now stacking them up against MWs?

Because Canelo weighed as a middleweight on fight night. He rehydrated some extra weight. I thought every Canelo fanboy knew this and Canelo. 166 is a gargantuan weight advantage to Mayweather and he got schooled wheras Hagler had what ? A 1 pound advantage against Duran ? Stop the double standards

Roberto Duran literally won a world title at middleweight but he's nothing right ? He was a middleweight when he fought Hagler and Duran was one of the greatest infighters of all time. Duran weighed in at 156lb. Im pretty sure the weight limit of a lightweight is 135 pounds on the scales. Either they changed the weighed limit recently or you're just stupid. Hagler did not fight a lightweight on the night and neither did Canelo. Canelo fought a welterweight and Hagler fought a middleweight. Either way it doesn't matter. Canelo will not slip into range and fire a 3 punch combination without getting hit because he's going to be in range for combinations against Hagler, this is not Jacobs. Hagler will press the action and will gladly fight in the pocket. Canelo will get overwhelmed because he's not comfortable exchanging in the pocket. He will be on the backfoot flatfoodidly moving, looking to counter and he will get outworked mainly by the jab and a combination every now and then. What part of this do you not understand. Canelo looks amazing on those highlights but watch an entire fight against a good fighter and he gets tagged quite a bit. He will not have to firepower to keeo Hagler honest and he will get walked down.

Canelo is not better than Hagler you're smoking crack although he's a great champion.

Seriously? The fab four was a freak thing that will never happen again, fighters were quicker back then, boxing has stated to really improve ovder the last five years, but there will never be four fighters on the level of the fab four in the prime or near their primes around at the same time like that, the fights they had against each other were iconic and they were colourful characters and it was a simpler time, commentary was different fighters were seen as Gods, larger than life. Throw in one of the greatest heavyweights of all-time, Benitez and Pryor and you have a 10/10 era in terms of quality.

I think because of the lack of footage of several past fighters in the olden eras from 1900's-1930's people read the stories and they sound amazing and there's no footage to dispute them, some though we see what little footage there is and it's not so good...

Interesting, why didn't Hagler never won a title at 168 or 175? Why did Hagler went life and death against 2 former lightweights??

Because he didn't move up to those weights ? Hagler was at 160 usually. And Canelo got schooled by former lightweight but lets throw that under the rug right ? Whats your point.

When Hagler was active the only Super middleweight title was the IBF belt which were a relatively new organisation themselves. Him dropping his belts to fight for the IBF super middleweight title against Park Chong-Pal, which nobody cared about would of made no sense.

As for why he never moved up in weight. He was a career middleweight who fought in the same day weigh in era, in this day before weigh in era he would probably be a light middleweight. Plus all the big fights he could make were vs smaller men coming up in Duran, Leonard and Hearns, him moving up to fight bigger men for less money and less prestige than fighting those guys made no sense.

Ali would dance, dance, dance! Wlad and Louis too slow and telegraphed on the outside to stop getting feinted and 1-2'd to an Ali points win. ATG chin for Ali too and even though he no doubt gets tagged, he ain't losing, prime for prime.
