I never said anything about the UFC. I left the UFC off the list as im aware its a more modernized form of combat for the reasons you just mentioned. You responded to a point i never made.
Those combat systems i specifically mentioned individually have not been modernized. One of the greatest wrestlers off all time was Aleksandr Medved born in 1937.
I could go into more detail but now isn't the right time

yes, and none of those combat sports you mentioned have professional competition on the level of boxing.

they are relegated to after school programs for 12 year olds

    Except it isn’t.

This is your great knowledge of the sport:

“Fury only beat Wilder because he was taller”

“The 2080 champ would be able to beat Fury in a round”

“Wlad would have beaten Fury if Fury had been shorter”

    Hilarious.

There has been no progression in this sport over the past 30-40 years.

If you want to, we can go one division at a time.

    I’ll show you.

Only a fool would compare 2 athletes sprinting or swimming from point A to B, which is timed in MILLISECONDS, to 2 guys boxing each other in a ring.

    It’s absolutely moronic.

    It has.

Lots of missed fights throughout the years. But it’s not as bad as today’s era, where there can be 4 different champs in the same division.

Judo, Karate and Wrestling are different disciplines to the UFC.

    You haven’t refuted his points.

All you have said is that the UFC fighters have evolved.

Yes, the UFC fighters have evolved.

Yes, the UFC fighters have incorporated different disciplines into their skill set.

MMA as we know it isn’t even 30 years old.

Learn to read. I said “usually” of course there are always exceptions. It wasn’t perfect but today’s boxers have taken it to a new level. Guys like Spence and Crawford in same weight class somehow avoiding each other even though they are both arguably PFP best in the sport. Guys like Tank Davis have gone years without fighting a legit opponent. Wilder did it for years as well and his idiot fans were acting like he was an ATG. His first legit opponent was a chubby head case getting himself back in shape, Fury. Same guy who schooled him for ten rounds and was robbed of a victory he earned.

Ducking has always been part of boxing but in today’s game, it’s not the exception, it’s the rule. Some guys will only fight a real opponent when there is no other option. I blame the fans for not demanding more.

    Right.

So I typed out a full page of text which is perfectly logical, giving you numerous examples, yet all you could reply back with was the above?

Come back and refute what I’ve said.

We don’t have to go back as far as when fighters were segregated.

I’m talking about the modern era.

This is the last time I’m going to post this to you:

I agree with you that the sport has evolved.

    Do you understand that?

    I AGREE with you.

However, it does not keep progressing as time goes by.

It plateaued a long time ago.

The sport has seen no overall progression over the last 30-40 years.

Which means that it’s foolish to just assume that future fighters will be the best ever.

There is no evidence of that.

I can give you 5 divisions right off the bat that were stronger 20-40 years ago than what they currently are today.

there is a difference between a division being competitive at a given time, and that translating into the fighters being better athletes.

the HW division was deeper and more competitive in the 1930s, does that mean that Max Baer or James Braddock is going to be competitive against Tyson Fury, AJ or the lot of them?

and just because I make these observations diesnt mean I am claiming ANY and all current fighters beat out any and all of the old timers.

however, i fo believe that is the case most of the times, in a general sense

Louise, Marciano, Ali, Robinson, Tunney, Dempsey, and the like....beat the **** out of those modern world champions. That's what the classic boxing fans always come up with. They just want to keep them out of reach.
